My husband and I stayed here for 1 night this summer. This B&B gets a 5 star review because of Madame Anneli Tulkki's hospitality. She welcomed us into her home and made us feel like family. She was a gracious hostess, took time to get to know us and offered information about the area. Pros - - Coolness factor -... More

We were travelling from Burgundy to Normandy and decided to break the journey and stay in Vouvray. This gorgeous B & B was such a treat. Anneli was a very gracious host, taking the time to chat and offered information about the area. The swimming pool on the roof top accessed via a very interesting circular staircase through a cave... Staying at La Rocheliere felt like we were staying with family. The rooms were beautiful and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and the grounds were beautiful as well. Great location, walking distance to amazing restaurants, and town. We enjoyed our conversations with Madame Tulkki and loved playing with Jaguar! What a wonderful place to stay, lovely comfortable rooms, which were all spotless and full of character. The breakfast was excellent and our host was most attentive. The real surprise was the rooftop swimming pool, which you got to bring going through a small cave. Fascinating. Off street parking in the court yard was a real bonus. All in all... More

This was our 5th stay at La Rocheliere - and we _will_ return again! The place is really a hidden gem of the Loire valley. The gate hides ample parking area the separate B&B building and Anneli's and Matti's own maison. The hosts have always been very friendly and ready to provide ideas for daytrips, restaurants etc. The village of... More

From the moment we called for a reservation the day before until the morning we departed we were treated with the utmost professional courtesy. Annilee and Matti invited us into their home to share wine and good conversation with other guests. We stayed in the cave room for two nights and were taken back in time to past centuries when... We arrived just after 5pm on a Saturday and were welcomed very warmly by Annelie. The grounds of the property have enough secure parking for all the rooms. We were in the Victor Herault room, which was wonderful, very tastefully renovated, making the most of original beams and features. As we were the only visitors on the following evening, Annelie... We stayed at Anneli's B&B for two nights. Arriving at this destination was just a delight. Firstly Anneli is the most welcoming person. Unfortunately I speak no French and Anneli speaks about four languages fluently. Her house and accommodation is fantastic with a completely self contained wing for her 5 guest rooms. The room was large and a modern bathroom.... More
