We only stopped here for a quick lunch but it was really nice. Owner was friendly and the location is quiet away from the crowds at Villandry! The location is not quite a river view though, which is a shame with the majestic Loire so tantalisingly close, but that is more than made up for by the service and the good food. More

Stayed in this small town 2 weeks ago and was recommended to try this restaurant and it was good advice.
The daily menu was in both French and English and was displayed on a chalk board brought to our table.
We both had a 3 course meal and the starters were both on a fresh dressed salad.
One was a terrine of salmon and the other a large slice of smoked salmon .
The main courses we had were duck and fresh vegetables for my wife and beef tartare with saute potoes and garnish for me.
Beef tartare is not the easiest meal to prepare and get right, and this was up there with the best.
The duck was excellent with a lovely jus.
The deserts were a trio of cheeses for my wife and Creme brulee for me.
We had wine, a very quaffable local red in a 50cl carafe, and a carafe of tap water.
Warm fresh rolls accompanied the meal.
Just to add to the experience we were able to dine outside under vines.
The total cost was an amazing 41 euros!.
