The initial impression one gets is of a pleasant small town hotel/restaurant. Our room, Anne d'Bretagne, is I think the most expensive room(suite?) at 205 euros a night. There was not a single drawer in the room for clothing and we were there for 4 nights! There was more than enough room for a small chest of drawers. The justification...

We were a classic car group travelling on a Brittany Ferries package and this hotel was our first nights stop over. What a delight it was, lovely staff, very comfortable rooms, private locked car park and best of all.... The food presented at the evening meal was superb. We all very much enjoyed our stay and can recommend others to...

We’ve been visiting Le Cheval Blanc over many years. Welcoming, accommodating, friendly and, if you do not speak French, it’s no problem (although we try to). The team here has it all. The owner has recently refurbished the hotel and the rooms are now even more comfortable and they ooze charm. They also have their own swimming pool, and private...

We ate a fantastic lunch here, wonderfully presented different combinations . Desert of caramelised fennel and olive and Lemmon sorbet . Just had to get my fingers to the plate !!! The main was as stunning combinations of veal and the starter Devine aubergine . Great service friendly unstuffy but highly professional. Yes we are booked for next Sunday too.

We had the MOST spectacular meal, welcome, service and time at this place. We were looking for a place to stay in the Tours area with decent food and Le Cheval Blanc more than lived up to our expectations. Quite superb. Highly recommended.

A great welcome to this lovely hotel in the Loire area. A pretty town not overrun with tourists with interesting places to wander. Our room was delightful and beautifully furnished. A set menu provided on a Monday evening when the main restaurant is closed was excellent and very welcome after a long drive from the coast. One to return to...

We stayed overnight twice - first night going south to Languedoc, last night coming back. Really a "restaurant with rooms" rather than a hotel with restaurant. Very limited internal lounge and bar areas. Dinner both nights was excellent and the service was good. Rooms a little cramped but very comfortable beds and a good night's sleep. Bathroom to room 6...

We had visited this hotel to eat in the restaurant many years ago and decided to use it as an overnight stop when travelling back to the UK, based on favourable reviews I had read. We were not disappointed at all! The hotel has undergone major refurbishment so the rooms are of an excellent standard and very comfortable. It is...

I had phoned around several restaurants before landing on this one. As it it happened that turned out to be lucky for us. We all had the 32€ menu - I had a superior scotch egg which was much better than it sounds. It was a soft boiled egg in a crispy breadcrumb coating with a dandelion sauce. For main...

Good location centre of small town. Free parking across the road. Our room was the Chopin room. Great decor although the room was a little small with only a built in wardrobe for clothes, no drawer space so could be difficult for a long stay, as we only stayed overnight it was fine. The bathroom room was contemporary and the...
