I ate at this restaurant on my own. I believe I lowered the average age around me (I am 44) . Most of the guests were probably staying at the hotel. I did not. The location is really nice; at the harbour, straight at the sea like a terrace overlooking the bay. The inside atmosphere is a bit stiff. The... More

Tired of rather too busy, too bustling Vannes on a market day, we escaped to Arradon and found calm and solace at Les Venetes, a hotel that dips its toes into the Golfe de Morbihan. The sea literally laps at the foot of the restaurant. The setting would have been pretty perfect on a sun-filled lunchtime even if the meal... More

With water almost lapping at our toes we drank rose and watched the sun go down. Then we had a wonderful three course meal at a price unheard of in England for the quality of food. We all had the 50 euro menu. Smoked haddock starter was tasty and I then had rognons de veau (veal kidneys) which were cooked... More

Well this was one of the best evenings I have had in many years. The location is tranquil , well when we visited it was! On a wetland estuary location plenty of bobbing boats and sea birds. Now the food . Typically french and fish. Local catches and exceptional. The wine was superb and suggested by the very experienced owner... More

We stayed one night whilst travelling through Morbihan. We had chosen to stay here because of its dramatic location and the good reports we had heard about the cuisine. We were not disappointed on either count. The rooms are comfortable although the layout of some are somewhat quirky due to the layout of the building. The views everywhere are superb.... More

The location is beautiful, overlooking a bay with yachts bobbing in it. The seafood platter was the freshest I have ever tasted, and the Grand Marnier souffle practically flew away, it was so light. Breakfast was quirky, with little separate pots of poached peaches, strawberries and yoghurt, plus the usual continental pastries and bread. We had a delightful room with... More

You can't deny the setting for this hotel is lovely, right on the waterfront of the Gulf, so we enjoyed being able to sit out on our balcony taking in the view. However, our room was so small it was just as well we had a balcony! I had no room to unpack my suitcase. The room was also quite... More

I'm giving it a 3-rating for several reasons. Let's start by the positive: - The location is fantastic. It's secluded, quiet, really nice! - The room we had had a very nice balcony, so although it was raining we managed to chill out there because they have installed an electric cover. - The main dish was very, very nice. The... More

If you want an absolutely superb meal in this area look not further. It was one of the best meals we have had for quality, service and price. The e45 menu we had was fantastic. Why this chef does not have a Michelin star I don't know. The little tasters were fabulous and if anyone does a better soufflé I would... More

Hotel: Fine for a 3 stars hotel but nothing exceptional although has some charme as not part of standardised chain hotel. Our room was large (without balcony) and nicely decorated, but the bathtube and shower are set in such a way that although carefull it was impossible (to me) not to transfrom the bathroom into a little pond. Not felt... More
