On arrival closed, said to open at 1530 but it was 1800 before Madame appeared! It probably ticks the boxes of Logis but really this place needs a complete makeover. The rooms seriously dated and the stairs are dirty and sad looking. Whilst lovely views from windows, if left open traffic noise noticeable. Check emergency way out as pretty limited... More

The hotel is just at the foot of the heart of the Bastide. In September we had no trouble parking right outside. Madame is very friendly, speaks English and is very charming. Makes a good breakfast too - great coffee. The restaurant was closed during our stay (end of season). The room was small but nicely decorated with a small... More

I haven't stayed in the hotel but I have eaten in the bar and restaurant several times. The welcome is always friendly and the food very good. Same chef for the bar and restaurant so take your pick. The bar is a friendly and warm meeting place throughout the year. Highly recommended

We chose this hotel because it looked as if it would remind us of the sort of hotels we enjoyed 50 years ago - family run, lots of locals, welcoming, good food. And so it did - except that the sanitation was perfect, not something I remember being the case in the '60s. A nice town to wander round, too.

I stayed for three nights at La Bastide De Oliviers. The town was quaint, charming and a good place to relax whilst exploring the area and attending a wedding in a neighbouring town. The staff at La Bastide De Oliviers were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the rooms were small but perfectly equipped for a short stay, very clean... More

Lovely stop just on the edge of the Bastide. Pleasant accommodation and a wonderful fine dining experience siting outside. Choice of Plat du jour, bistro or restaurant menu - so very versatile. After our evening meal a gentle stroll. A place to revisit on our travels through France.

We arrived very early but were able to get into our room immediately. The hotel is conveniently situated a short distance from the town centre, and all the staff were extremely friendly and attentive tom our requests.

We booked in for a long weekend to attend a family wedding in the area. The reservation process was handled easily (Madame speaking excellent English). The hotel was situated on a street corner and as soon as we entered we knew we had made a wise choice. Madame is delightful and offered us the warmest of welcomes. This is a... More

Monflanquin is a beautiful mediaeval village perched on top of a hill overlooking the surrounding countryside which was the view from our bedroom window. It is south of Sarlat which is pretty but so busy and touristy whereas Monflanquin seems unspoilt. The hotel is ideal as you can park outside and yet you are 2 minutes walk away from the... More

La Bastide des Oliviers is a small and friendly hotel in a very pretty rural area of France. You will receive a very warm welcome from the owners and the staff. It is clean, comfortable and does a great home made breakfast of bread, pastries and jams. We didn't try the restaurant but we did try the nice little bar... More
