Spent our first few nights in this fabulous property, it was simply perfect from the accommodation to the delicious breakfast served up every morning. The owners Anne and Pascal were extremely warm and friendly just delightful and interesting to talk to, they went above and beyond. We spend over 3 weeks in France and stayed in a few places but none could compare with Lo Rey du Lac, it was just so different really refreshing from the usual run on the mill accommodations. Absolutely loved it and one day I hope we can visit again. Thank you Guys for looking after us. Martin, Monica and Solange
Just outside the town and blissfully quiet. The sat-nav will get you there - have faith in it! We received a very warm welcome: excellent accommodation, easy parking, and a wonderful spread for breakfast.
Lo Rey du Lac is the perfect place to stay, if you look for a restful accommodation in the middle of nature and near the lake and beach of Hossegor. The rooms are unique with love for detail. We stayed at "le Kota" with a private hot tube in front of the cottage. The breakfast was amazing, with delicious home-made cakes and brioche. The hosts are very caring. We had a wonderful stay at Lo Rey du Lac! Thank you <3
We found this "jewel" in the internet and have passed fantastic holidays (14 days) at Anne and Pascal's "Lorey du Lac" in Hossegor. The room "Marie-Lucie" is very spacious and big enough for two people. The house and the rooms are very clean and the surounding (garden, forrest and sea) is amazing. The area is very calm and not touristic, perfect to relax and to get some rest. However, the city center and the ocean are in walking distance. As a further highlight, Anne is baking all the French patisserie every morning for the breakfast which is incredibly delicious. Both, Anne and Pascal are very friendly and lovely with their guests. We felt very welcome and will defenetively come back next year!!!
A wonderful place to relax or base to explore to South West coast. The property is a 300 year old farmhouse set in protected pine forest that leads all the way to the lake, which has been in Pascale's family for over 300 years. The rooms in the house have beautiful old beams and have been done in a country house chic style that is simple and elegant with lots of special touches. The garden has lots of places to relax and read in the sun or shade. Breakfast was the highlight of our day with fresh bread (gluten free available too!), cheese, eggs and Anne's homemade cakes, crumbles and desserts, that varied daily. We had a wonderful week visiting the lake and coast and even a day in Spain. Anne and Pascale were great at recommending things we may like to do. We borrowed bikes most days, so we barely used the car. We stayed six nights in the house and two in the bubble, a 'glamping' pod in the forest with a view of the moon and stars. Breakfast was delivered in baskets with bells on - amazing. If we return we'll try the lodge in the forest which has it's own deck and beautiful wooden interior. I would recommend Lo Rey du Lac to anyone looking for home comforts in stunning surroundings. A great opportunity to practise your french too.…
