Our family decided attend the Shoreline Jazz festival in short notice and this was the only hotel available that we were familiar with the name. We upgraded to suites thinking that the rooms would be a little more than standard. Boy were we wrong. This hotel is extremely outdated. It looks like there haven't been any updates since the 70's.... More

The room looked nice online. When I called to make the reservation the lady made the room sound absolutely gorgeous! In all reality it was a decent price, but in a bad neighborhood! There were all kinds of troubled looking people hanging outside at night of the hotel, I actually felt unsafe. The room was a good size; but looked... More

The room smelled like mildew and there was blood, or something that looked like it, splatter on the exterior of the bathroom door. If it hadn't been so late, I would have turned around and left. There was hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub. The beds were marginal at best - at least the sheets appeared to... More

My Dad and I normally go to the Christian Music Festival in Muskegon at around this time, and we normally stay at Red Roof. But this time, was definitely the worse time I've ever spent in a hotel. It literally needs Hotel Impossible from Travel Channel to come. We paid for a deluxe room, the front desk said they gave... More

As a guest I was very impressed on how the front desk Clerk handled being in a situation dealing with a deaf guest! Even though it was hard to understand my husband, Stasia did a great job in making us feel welcomed and comfortable.

Had 3 rooms for our group. One door wouldn't hardly lock. Had strong animal smell. We stayed 5 nights and they did not clean our room once. Definately would not recommend this hotel. Worse hotel I have ever stayed in.

Neighborhood deserted, businesses all around boarded up, some look like they were set on fire. Surveillance cameras all around property. Looked very unsafe of an area. It looked like it was once a good area but definitely not any more. Several restaurants and hotels around it had closed down. They were all boarded up. Not the place you want to... More

The only redeeming factor was most of the staff. (1) Bugs in room. We found bugs in the room. Mentioned it to the person at the front desk. She asked us if we brought in fleas. Uh, no, we didn't. The room came furnished with bugs. (2) WiFi-less - took us FOREVER to connect to the WiFi. And then we... More

Hotel is smelly, old and lacking. The entire hotel is supposed to be NON SMOKING. Our room smelled freshly and grossly smoked in and we complained. They sent security to the room with a can of freshner. Then the room smelled like smoke and freshner. It was gross and made all our clothes smell. We think It was coming from... More

The hotel is very old, hallways are smelly, room floors are not level, could feel the unevenness of the room. It was so bad that the drawers on the entertainment center would not stay closed. The full mattress was not even the size of the full box spring. The bed was comfortable for one but, Not big enough for two... More
