Luxury in the Gironde countryside - we had come to visit Montaigne's tower in a nearby village. Warm welcome, lovely room, great grounds, fine view, and a well-chosen breakfast. Just one fault - Wi-Fi only available in the public rooms. The only time this happened in our two-week stay in Aquitaine!

We had the suite with two balconies which are north-facing but still they look out onto the forest. The restaurant where the food is excellent and not too pricey overlooks a great big wooded valley with vineyard in the distance. In the evening, deer stride through the gaps in the undergrowth - all in all a very natural setting. But...

We spent one night at this hotel and found it very comfortable, the staff were very helpful. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious. The only downside was the Wifi was ifi! and as we are on a business trip collecting emails etc was very important.

Quiet family owned hotel in the heart of countless vineyards. Very kind personnel, you immediately feel like home. Very nice restaurant with affordable prices. Big rooms without air conditioning needs redecoration.

We booked to have lunch here today with our daughter. The setting is beautiful and very relaxing. It was a very hot day but we still wanted to eat outside. The initial service was slow and the offer of an aperitif took ages. The wine list is limited but adequate. We chose the menu de jour which was 19euros. There...

We visited the chateau de Sanse during the first two weeks of August. Both times we went for dinner. There were only two menus. One for 30 euros and one 38 euros. The views on the terrace alone were worth the visit. Menu was fairly fish based. The best thing we had was the entrecôte. The service was excellent. The...

In beautiful surroundings near to St Emilion, this château has lovely rooms, a calm swimming pool and a classy restaurant. In the middle of the vines, you definitely need a car, and you are really in the wine countryside of the South West. Great for à relaxing week-end.

What a find ! We recently stayed 4 nights at the hotel, whilst attending a wedding at a nearby chateau. We booked direct, with no problem - all staff speak English. The hotel is in a beautiful location and is an ideal place to unwind and enjoy some lovely wine, delicious food and the gorgeous scenery. The pool refreshing and...

I stayed at the chateau with my daughter as part of a cycling tour. The chateau is located adjacent to vineyards outside the small village of Gensac. It is difficult to find unless one has good instructions to locate it. The only signpost for it is the one where you actually turn in to the long, uphill driveway. Having found...

One of the most memorable hotel stays of my life. All for the right reasons. The views from the terrace will take your breath away. The food is superb with service to match. What a gem. A beautiful hotel in a beautiful part of the world. Can't recommend this place enough.

“Room 15 at the top of the tower has the best view. You have to carry luggage up 2 flights of steep stairs. The bedroom and bathroom are one big room separated by a half wall with a very high ceiling. The internet is iffy at best. Quiet and beautiful. I would live here forever.”
