We arrived at Maison Porte del Marty late afternoon after having travelled straight through from Singapore into Paris and thence the maw of a French train strike. By some miracle, we arrived for our 2-night stay only an hour late, to be met at the station by Brian’s friendly face! We had a great room overlooking the Dordogne River with... More

This has been a highlight of our stay so far in France. This is the most stunning house in a perfect location overlooking the Dordogne River. The rooms are beautifully-decorated in French country theme and they are huge. As we booked early, I reserved the only room with the balcony. It was just blissful chilling out with a bottle of... Just recently stay here from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcomed and relaxed. The room was stunning with a view over the Dordogne river and had our own private ensuite. The bed was a super king and so comfortable. The temperature was in the 30deg plus but the room was very cool and comfortable. Our... More

We highly recommend this beautiful B&B on the banks of the River Dordogne. Our hosts, Cherie and Brian were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Our bedroom was very large and overlooked the river, as do all of the bedrooms. We both slept very well in the comfortable king-size beds. Breakfast was excellent, especially the delicious croissants. Thank you... More

Gorgeous well-kept rooms with beautiful views of the Dordogne, excellent breakfasts made by your wonderful (and helpful, and fun!) hosts Brian and Cheri. Great central location for all that the region has to offer, which is considerable. Came back to the area a week later with a group and stayed at a 5 star hotel with a Michelin starred restaurant,...
