I think that there aren't many places to stay in Carsac, so think our bike tour company thought this would be the best. And it had all the modern conveniences, but the welcome was not warm; the room cool and functional. We didn't eat in the dining room other than at breakfast, but in our room till late at night...

The food was impeccably created and presented with just the right blend of regional fare with cordon bleu credentials. The setting was beautiful with the backdrop of the limestone cliffs overhanging the valley of the Dordogne as it loops around a mighty cingle towards Montfort. The Hotel's proximity to the Jardins D'eau (they were adjacent) was fortunate as these gardens...

Located near the Dordogne River and outside the small city of Carsac, La Villa Romaine boasts gorgeous grounds, a large infinity pool, beautiful and spacious rooms, plenty of common areas inside and outside to enjoy a bottle of wine and hors d'oeuvres from the kitchen, and a fantastic breakfast. The onsite restaurant is run by a talented chef and an...

I searched the internet for the perfect place to stay near Sarlat and I found it in La Villa Romaine. From the moment I arrived and received such a friendly welcome to my departure 4 days later I could not fault this hotel. The restaurant is excellent featuring a most interesting menu, the dining room most attractive with its beamed...

We stayed four nights. It was a great location to visit the Dordogne area. It was a very relaxing, pretty and peaceful hotel. The pool was lovely to enjoy after a day exploring the region. The restaurant was good for the nights we ate in, but the menu was limited and it was nice to try other restaurants. We felt...

We just came back from 14 days tour of Dordogne, France. For us the historical town of Sarlat was the highlight of our trip. Walking at knight after dinner in this gem of a town, you feel that you are transported back to 15th. century France. The Musicians and Magician on small town square and smell of food from outdoor...

Just stayed at Villa Romaine. It is a perfect setting on the banks of the Dordogne with a wonderful terrace for outdoor dining. The location is ideal as a base for touring the attractions of the Dordogne or for a peaceful break by the pool. The hosts are most welcoming and all of the staff very helpful. Dinner on the...

A lovely Italian style villa, beautifully appointed. Although it was built recently and has all modern comforts, it has the look and feel of an old villa. Our room was spacious and well furnished. I only wish the restaurant had been open, but we visited in the off-season. The breakfast was excellent, though. The location is a bit outside of...

This hotel is a little remote - about 2 km from the town of Carsac, but in a nice location close to he Dordogne River. The grounds are very nice and there is a unheated outdoor infinity pool. The rooms are large and the bathroom is large. Our shower was big, some of the other members of our party had...
