Last day of holiday and made a last minute decision to go out for lunch. We were made to feel very welcome upon our arrival. There was a great deal of choice on the menu including 3 'menu's du jour' starting at €14.50 for 3 courses. They also offer a children's menu. Of our party 2 adults and 1 child had the €14.50 set menu and our youngest child had the 2 course children's menu (same meat/veg as the adult menu). We choose the charcuterie to start, fantastic cold meats with 2 different pate's and some salad. Main course was stuffed shoulder of lamb, salsify and a shared plate of veg. All fantastically cooked and absolutely delicious. Then a choise of cheese or desert. We all chose desert of which was there was a choice of apricot tart, prune tart, fruit salad or nut tart. We had the nut tart which was served with icecream....superb!! The children both had (a very generous serving) of apricot tart...also delicious! Overall, an absolutely fantastic lunch. Would highly recommend a visit.

Loved this restaurant great service all very reasonable , lovely staff so attentive and the food was excellent too Five courses for two, plus several glasses of wine, only cost less than £50. Prentaton was good and the restaurant was plain but had a great atmosphere.

Always a pleasure to dine at this family-run hotel where three generations help to provide good food, friendly service and a relaxed ambience. The 'plat du jour' was an excellent stuffed shoulder of lamb and the crème brûlée aux framboises finished the meal perfectly. Everything about this restaurant (and probably the hotel as well but I have never stayed) epitomizes Périgordian hospitality.

On arrival, we were warmly welcomed. Everything was very clean and cosy. The owners were pleasant and friendly. Close to village and some great places to visit in this beautiful region. The meals were fantastic local dishes. It was a wonderful stay and we will recommend..

What a treat. Nothing fancy but folks that take themselves seriously while being very personal and genuine in their caring service. It is a treat to find old world caring service done with humour. Unfortunately this seems to be disappearing even in the "dordogne". Gum-chewing 20 somethings working for an unrelated employer just don't seem to gain the same satisfaction and be able to provide the same service as a family business. The room was fine, quiet and clean and the food really excellent. ood value for the money on both counts. The room was $50 euros for 3 of us. An excellent supper with wine 60 euros for the 3 of us. My french is fluent and we had some great banter!
