I have mixed feelings about the Chateau the building is very grand and the grounds are beautiful, but the amenities are lacking. The breakfast was average at best: we had to ask for milk which was difficult because the server kept disappearing and the fruit salad was still frozen in parts. The bar is pretty much non existent. We didn't...

A very warm welcome to this lovely small chateau set in extensive grounds. The parking on a grassed area was a little underwhelming but of no great matter. Our room was on the 2nd floor which was a bit of an effort for me (I have breathing difficulties) but again, not a major inconvenience. This "attic" room rather suited the...

The chateau was exquisite, the rooms and amenities were perfect. The place, the scenery were absolutely gorgeous and magical. The food at the wedding was delicious. What brought it down to three stars was because of the atrocious customer service. I have never encountered such rude staff and will probably never come back to this specific place. I honestly did...

We were just looking for a place to stay between legs of a trip across France and wound up in the gatehouse of this chateau. Not only was it a lovely place but it also was about half the price of a room in the main part of the chateau. The gatehouse has three apartments - we had the top...

We rented the entire Chateau for four days, and other guests stayed in near-by Brantome. We had a wedding and dinner for 80 people. The staff could not have been more helpful. The food was great. The wedding was in a beautiful clearing in what must have been an enchanted forest. Straight out of Grimm's Fairy Tales, Chateau de La...

Fantastic grounds and gorgeous chateau, however my recommendation to the management, upgrade your sheets to duvet so your guests don't have to see the disgusting and worn out blankets, I snuck into the linen room and took extra sheets to cover the blankets, it will make the feel of the rooms so much more luxurious , the staff was very...

A fairytale castle on a hillside in the luscious Dordogne countryside. A dream of a place to stay with ivy-clad walls, adorable antique furniture and regal aura. What a shame then about the catering, which was a mixture of Basil Faulty and Mrs Overall. Service at snail's pace, wrong orders were served, wine not served at all. Confusion reigned in...

Just an overnight journey stop, I wouldn't want much longer. It was adequate. The breakfast was expensive at 14E each and unremarkable. Lovely grounds and in a great area. We ate dinner at a local restaurant as we didn't want to be the only ones in the dining room!

We made a break here for one night on our way from St Malo to south west France as we know the excellent reputation of the Chateau and Hotels Collection Our arrival was warmly welcomed and the staff could not have been more helpful and charming. Dinner was excellent in the very atmospheric restaurant. Our room with its four poster...

My brother had his wedding at Chateau De la Cote. This is a great venue for a wedding. The grounds are amazingly well groomed and picturesce. My room was in one of the towers and although a bit dated it can be expected with the age of the chateau. Oliver was a little difficult to communicate with since I have...
