You could easily miss the door to Villa Premayac and it is always kept locked. After ringing the bell several times, a lady came who spoke not a word of English. We managed to figure out where to park our car on the tiny street, then were taken to our room. The room and bathroom were large and sparsely furnished,...

Driving from UK to Spain we often stay overnight near Bordeaux, We were delighted with our choice of La Villa Premayac, A very old, boutique style small hotel with an eclectic mix of rooms surrounding a secluded garden. Room was clean ,large and quiet. Following mornings breakfast was good. Will stay again

Had booked this hotel from Spain, and arrived looking forward to a beautiful place. We were disappointed! The front door was locked;opened finally, and it is difficult to understand the reviewers quoting "friendly welcome", ours was polite but hardly welcoming (at 4.30pm). We were ushered through several rooms, halls, all dark and cool, and up some stone steps to the "guest...

My wife and i spent one night here in October, and this 17th century house has been turned into a very welcoming B&B. The rooms are furnished to a high standard, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a delight in a communal area with a little kitchen area just off where one could find the basics one needs! Well worth a...

We stayed here as part of a trip to do the Marathon du Medoc and found it to be a quiet, well run, fantastic place. The owners do not know much English but were very helpful with my pigeon French! The large sunken bath was excellent and the room comfy. The complimentary wine was a nice touch.

ContrfriendlyWeary to other reviews, The owner was very friendly & spoke good English, if she happens not to be there, her elderly parents do not speak English. Complimentary bottle of wine was a pleasant gesture & also help yourself tea, coffee making facilities incl free chilled bottled water. The location was good, close to the fortress, the estuary, restaurants & bars....

Be warned that the owners speak no English BUT they run a fabulous operation - immaculately clean and a communal area where you help yourself to a well stocked continental breakfast (deliciously fresh bread and croissants with all the trimmings plus other bits and pieces) and a small kitchen area where you can help yourselves to hot drinks and most...

Clean and remodeled, this palace-like structure is said to have date back to Napoleon’s building of the Citadel (now a major tourist attraction). Beyond its rich historical past, this Inn is centrally located in the heart of Cote de Blaye’s ancient neighborhood, a five minute walk from the picturesque Gironde river with its famed Citadel, restaurants, parks, and shops. Built...
