the sights were tight but the waterfront spots were kind of unique. The owner was a little intense but not rude. It was maintained and clean. Wouldn't be our first choice to go back but wouldn't avoid it either. Just ok.

After reading some of the other reviews we were a bit skeptical before arriving. Wow were we pleasantly surprised. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. We had a large group (1 deluxe cabin, and 4 pull thru sites) everyone we were camping with loved the place. The kids loved the park especially the zip line and jumping... More

Very clean as soon someone left saw staff walk by and pick up the sites. Staff was friendly. Water was clear kids liked the bouncy walk and water slide. Yes some noise from freeway but so did Monroe KOA was that noticeable as claimed and about 4 minutes from Michigan Adventures.

We won't be back. Perfect location and nice setting, but the owner is unbelievable. While we understand you have to have rules, but some of the rules are crazy. Our friends brought kayaks, but you are not allowed to use them (you have to rent theirs). Another friend had a metal detector and was asked if he had permission to... More

We’re sorry that your stay at the Muskegon KOA Campground was less then you had expected, and hope we may be able to do better next time. We’re not quite sure what rules we have that you consider ‘crazy’. But here is what we have and why. Every family or group leader that makes a reservation is sent a copy... More

Every staff member (with the exception of the young man who cheerfully picked up our trash) was rude. We checked in for a deluxe cabin and as the lady was trying to give us info the other lady at the counter rudely interrupted and told her employee to not talk over her. Huh? She was helping a completely different guest.... More

We’re sorry that your stay at the Muskegon KOA Campground was less then you had expected, and hope we may be able to do better next time. To make our Deluxe Cabin experience the best we could, each one has its own unique hand laid patio with fire pit. We’re sorry that yours was not finished when you arrived, but... More

We totally enjoyed the stay except for the bathrooms. Staff were very helpful and friendly. KOA has no control over the rain and snow we had for the weekend not to say the cold weather. I encourage the remodel of the shower and bath areas. Maybe some heat? I thought the last time we stayed they had wifi?

Thank you for your review. The women's restroom remodel has been completed. YEA! Who expected freezing weather after the 80 degree days we had a week earlier. The exhaust fans had been tied into the HVAC system and was just sucking the hot air outside. This has been fixed. We are looking at a HVAC unit for the back bathhouse... More

Despite the variety of play equipment, which is this campground's advantage, we just didnt find this campground up to koa standards. Bathrooms were filthy and in disrepair, not enough showers for the size of park, and electric hook-ups were not dependable. We experienced many power outages during our stay. Park doesnt allow campers to use their own boats/canoes on the... More

Loved the play activities for kids but when it was time to go the bathroom that was a terrible experience. GROSS- SMELLY- ACTUALLY WAS GAGGING. Line for the 2 gross showers.....We weren't the only family with girls that used the men's bathroom. During the day we would go down the road to a gas station. It was not until the... More

Just spent the last 4 days at the Muskegon KOA. Pro's: My wife, 4 kids, and I really enjoyed the 2 bedroom cabin as it was clean, rustic, and located in the part of the campground that I felt was ideal (opposite the highway so we felt more secluded). The beach area was clean and sandy. The kids loved the... More
