The little lodge was very clean, quiet. The caretakers Mike and Mary (sorry if name is wrong) were super sweet and helpful. The weather was unseasonably warm so the missing 5th star is due to lack of AC. The room did cool down during the night as promised, just a bit toasty to begin with. The view out the back... More

After reading about this motel on trip advisor...I really wanted to stay here...after 4 phone calls over many months...I was finally able to get a reservation. They are a popular motel ...for good reason. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay here in July. All the rooms are suites with a lovely balcony overlooking Lake Covey and extremely comfortable.... Very friendly owners and staff. The rooms were very clean. A few miles from town, but that's what we liked, it was so peaceful. Beautiful view from each room with beautiful sunsets. We had everything we needed. Even the sofa bed was comfy which I didn't expect. Table with 4 chairs, sofa bed, fridge, microwave and a pool table, sauna... More

I love staying at this little motel. The price is right. The rooms are clean. You can rest assured your toilet is clean, it has a 'sanitized' band around it. Looking out your bedroom double doors you see the lake. It is near Munising and AuTrain, if the weather holds out I head on up to the shore of Lake... More

Mary and her husband are so nice and accommodating. It has been around a long time so you can't expect great amenities. Basic shampoo/soap-the cheap ones, but we come here for snowmobiling. They have upgraded their TV's, It's always clean. Coffee pot with what what you need, small fridge/microwave. Little balconies off the back room. Can't beat the location in... More

Just arrived home from a great snowmobiling trip . Mike and Marysue took good care of us again. The snow gods dropped 3 feet of snow this week on top of a good base . Trails are all groomed and in great condition . Rob McKinlay

We stayed here in September for our anniversary. The first and biggest issue was that the room smelled of urine. No pets are allowed, but we personally know of a couple with dogs that stay here every winter. I am not sure if they make an exception for pets or if they sneak them into the room. There is no... I can't say enough good things about this motel and the owner. I needed a room with no advance notice. Mary went out of her way to make me feel welcome and comfortable and to be sure I had everything I needed. My room (actually a suite) was very clean. The location was perfect for me - well off the... Exceptionally clean (unit 5). Enjoyed the small balcony overlooking the lake. Two separate rooms, very comfortable beds. Unit has fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee pot. Bring your own hair dryer. Be prepared to do a lot of driving; it is eight miles from downtown if that's your focus. Buckhorn restaurant is a few minutes away and is a good choice for... More

We loved our time at this lovely, rustic getaway! The room was spacious and clean. The owner Mary Sue was friendly and so very helpful. The surrounding woods and trails were beautiful. The view of woods and lake from our little balcony were breathtaking! We hope to return time and time again.
