I stayed here for 5 days, but mainly for the location! We were looking for something right on the beach with hammocks, and thats what we got. The rooms are cheap but you really get what you pay for. Dirty rooms, mosquito nets with holes and terrible beds. Best to just sleep in the hammocks. We paid the same price... More

We were staying 3 nights in a room of the french garden resort in Uppuveli, which was new opened in may 2016. It was very very nice and cheap. The hostel owner organized our wonderful snorkeling and delfin/whale tours, which were cheap, too.

The pros - location, price, owner. The cons are, if you are looking for big hostel with clean and spacious bathroom, you wont be happy. If you are punk traveller, go for it, we didnt regret. You can watch sunrise from your bed. Breakfast is the same like everywhere else - eggs.

This is probably the cheapest place to stay in Trinco with the best view. But the price definitely reflects the facilities so if you're on a budget its great and just know not to expect anything flash..or clean. We didnt eat here, only slept and we left early after two nights (meant to be four) as we just didnt like... More

Mixed feelings, the service was lousy, rooms were dirty, and they didn't include soap, towels or even toilet paper! I had to go to another venue to find a toilet with TP. Also, no mirror in the bathroom (looked like it was ripped off the wall). The internet is a cheap, throttled subscription. During the evening, it took 10 minutes... More

This is a review for the restaurant only. If you like seafood, this is the place to go. We went multiple times for dinner and everytime, be it prawns, crabs or fish, the meals were delicious and staff very friendly. Music can be random, but the DJ is always open for your playlist. Don't miss their chily crab - it... More

We saw several rooms of this guesthouse but all dirty, many dead flies on the bed, bathroom smelling so awfull. Breakfest was not available at 8.30 (after waiting for 40min). Never saw in whole sri lanka such a bad guesthouse (And we did take the cheaper onces).

The area around the guesthouse was perfect and so beautiful. The rooms were right on the beach. High season so we paid 3000LKR per night (we stayed three nights). Rooms were warm, but there was a fan to cool it off a bit. The hostess is super nice. You can order relatively cheap breakfast or dinner, and she will bring... More

We had no qualms with Regish, we thought the lady who runs it was lovely (she has a lazy eye which is maybe why people have called her "weird".....??) and was cheap with great location. My ratings are for Regish and not the opposite bar. However, as for the bar next door we can't sing the same praises. When we... More

Very basic accommodations, essential and a bit dirty but nice position on the beach. Few rooms are sea view and few are located on the side of entrance road (very hot at night). All standard rooms with fun and just one with A.c. much more expensive. The owner is not friendly at all but the lady that clean the room... More
