We had the cheapest room for two person, well, what they are saying about the lighting of the room and how dark it was, it is true, but that is fine.
What they are saying about how the “carpet,” how dark it was. It is true, but it is fine.
The room is fitted with modern features, which make the price for the hotel worth it.
The bed headboard lights is not working, well, it is fine, maybe they are having trouble of sourcing the specialized bulb for it. Breakfast is ok, we are filled it is fun to watch a lot of people do not know how to use a broken toaster, or how to open an airtight jar, that’s fine.

My family of 4 had overnight stay at Hotel Luna in Vigan. It was the 3rd night of our Northern tour by Philippine Travel and Tour Company. Our first time in Vigan and the hotel atmosphere was so relaxing we did not want to come out of our rooms. . The tour company booked 2 double queen rooms and so each person had a queen sized bed. Beautiful oil paintings in the hotel and in the rooms. The bathroom had a door for the shower stall and one for the toilet. Very clean, neat and elegantly decorated. Temperature was perfect. Included breakfast was delicious, staff very attentive. It was near everything, but the entrance was in a more quiet part of Calle Luna. We did a tour of the hotel museum where we saw Juan Luna’s Mandolin Player and paintings pf Bencab, Fernando Amorsolo, art by Guillermo Tolentino. Swimmng pool had perfect temperature. We were in a hurry to check out at lunch and so ordered take out lunch. It was conveniently packed and staff made sure utensils and napkins were in the bag. What an awesome, historic experience for my family from New Jersey. Definitely would like to come back to Hotel Luna when we’re in Vigan.

Enjoyed our 2day stay at the enchanting Hotel Luna in the heart of Vigan. Here’s what we like and thoughts on improvement:

1. Service. Staff are prompt in service and welcoming. There is always someone who will open the door and there is a pleasant scent throughout lobby. Ice is complimentary and so is water via the dispenser.

2. Art museum. The hotel conserves and manages a small but curated artworks of modern Filipino artists. The experience begins in the lobby and you can view outstanding art pieces from Bencab to younger artists in paintings and sculptures. There’s more in the common dining area as well as a larger collection upstairs.

Hotel Luna is named after Juan Luna, you can view his bust featured prominently at the swimming pool albeit an odd location. Art lovers and historians will find this is a destination by itself.

3. Room. We got a queen bed on the second floor. It can be quite noisy as the swimming pool is below and there are noises from the waterfall feature. Ask for a room on the top floor or if budget permits, stay at the suites or executive rooms at the museum wing.

Love the remote control of the toilet bowl!

4. Breakfast. The common dining area needs a good clean as the air stinks of the spices. We walk pass this area to the room so it’s a downer when the lobby is so pleasant and when the door opens to the dining area, there’s an unwelcoming stench.

It’s a rare opportunity to have breakfast in an art gallery so take time to savour the timeless art pieces.

Overall, a lovely art museum within a boutique hotel. Centrally located in Vigan, it is enchanting, charming and convenient to many places of interest within Vigan.

My husband and I stayed for four weeks and had a comfortable stay in the hotel. The housekeeping team always ensures that our room is tidy and that we always have our fruit basket! Our room's location is on the second floor of the main building, and the interior will bring you back to the 18th century. Outside our room is the museum, where you can see exquisite art pieces by famous painters in the Philippines, especially Juan Luna. The museum is quintessential!

The hotel museum, in general, is elegant. It is like a time travel to the 18th century ( but with a touch of the modern world ).

You don't have to worry about food too, they have good menu options, but if you stay for four weeks and you feel tired eating the food in the hotel, you can always go outside, et voila! You will see lots of restaurants. The location is in the heart of Vigan, so it's easy to access everything you might need.

Hotel Luna is very easy to find traveling from Baguio City. A very local structure from inside and out which makes it really unique. The room is well equipped with all the things that you need plus a sanitary kit that is perfect during this pandemic.

They also have an amazing team. Service was first class from parking assistance (arrival), check in, all the way to the room. Thanks to the Nicole, Jesse and there’s another guy but I forgot the name. I wish I got his name too. Nicole was very patient in suggesting things to be done here in the City while Jesse and his buddy made great recommendations in case we also need to visit nearby town areas. Really great service. Mr. Mark Tandoc, the General Manager was also very accommodating. They prepared something that surely surprised my husband’s birthday celebration. No wonder the team are all well trained.

If you plan to visit the North, don’t forget to check in at Hotel Luna. It’s all worth it!

I might have given 3.5 stars if that was possible. There are lots of good things and a few that are not so good. Firstly, the hotel is within the old city area and the staff were charming and helpful. The building is lovely outside and mostly inside too although the layout is a bit weird. For example, you have to walk through the end of one of a dinning room to get from the front door to the area with the sleeping rooms. I guess that is the sort of thing that happens when repurposing older building and it was not a big deal. The sleeping rooms are set over several stories around an atrium that contains the swimming pool. It is a lovely pool but was quite cold because the building blocks most direct sunlight. I was there in winter but expect that this is not an issue in the hotter months of the year. Getting a pool towel involves signing a form that is then taken to the front desk that then requests the towel be delivered to the pool area by one of the other staff. All a bit too complicated. From the same area it is possible to take an extra staircase up to a rooftop bar that was only open in the evening but gave a nice view across the roofs of the city. The hotel seemed quite empty and I was the only person at the rooftop both nights when I visited.

My room was small but reasonably well set out with a comfortable bed, very nice shower and good a/c. I didn't appreciate the weird Japanese style toilet with a control panel on the wall. I also didn't like the only window being at the front onto the walkway meaning other guests walked past and the curtains always had to be closed for privacy. I also hated the internet system which required that the TV was switched on for the wifi to function in the room. Outside by the pool and elsewhere there were 2 other systems with a different password or voucher code, both of which dropped the connection often.

The first day there was a buffet breakfast which I took but found very overpriced especially as the coffee was the worst that I have had in years. No breakfast was available the other days, probably because there were so few guests. I had dinner one night. There was no English language menu and the waitress who was lovely explained that many (most?) of the dishes were intended for multiple people. In the end she brought me something that was suitable for one consisting of fairly plain grilled meat but so nicely presented that I didn't mind.

Overall, the hotel was well priced, close to the pedestrian streets and main square and good enough for a few nights.

The staff is really friendly and accommodating. The bed and pillows are soft, clean and smells really nice. The toilet bowl is the same as the ones in Japan, automated with just push of button. The hotel is just behind calle crisologo where you can take lots of nice pictures. Worthy to be called number 1 hotel in Vigan.

A hotel that looks and feels old-world Spanish, located in the cobbled-street centre of the old city of Vigan.
The building has been renovated in the not too distant past and is built around a central atrium containing the pool, which is attractive. The guest rooms are however accessed at each level from the balconies, but unfortunately the only natural light into the rooms comes from a small window facing the pool rather than from the external facade of the building overlooking the street. This makes the rooms a bit dark which is exacerbated by tje heavy dark wood furniture and covings. While everything works in the rooms, the available tv channels are very limited and the carpets are rather old and dusty and past their sell by dates.
There is a roof bar that opens in the evenings, but this is rather stark and in need of a make over.
The ground floor restaurant serves an ok breakfast by the pool and the staff are very polite and helpful.

Stayed here for 3 days 2 nights. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. Place is near the famous Calle Crisologo. We loved the bed, it's so comfy and we can just stay and lay down the whole day. (If you could let me know the brand of the bed/mattress).

Our room had a separate toilet and bath which is nice. Toilet is smart (had heated seats, sensors, Bidet and many more )

Internet connection is fast too. Great for people who needs to work and check emails.

I was expecting a buffet breakfast but unfortunately they only offer a la carte with limited choices (Tapa, Tocino, Corned Beef, Bangus, Vigan Longganisa) all included with garlic rice and two eggs. Continental Breakfast (Egg, Bacon / Ham, Toast ). Comes with coffee or hot chocolate. ( Unlimited Refill of drinks )

It was raining very hard and the hotel personnel arranged a shuttle / Van service for us to get into the place we needed and we could just call the number and they would pick us up.

The room we stayed at had a carpet flooring. If you could replace the carpet with hardwood flooring much better because we can see that the carpet is already dirty. ( Needs more vaccuum cleaning I guess. )

Swimming pool also needs more cleaning, I can see the tiles has dirt and grime. Not very hygienic specially kids loves to swim.

We were able to walk and view the museum in the hotel. It was a great experience and looking at the arts is so fascinating. We would definitely come back! Agyaman!
