Lumbini Buddha Garden is a quiet and tranquil resort close to the birthplace of Lord Buddha, at Lumbini in south-central Nepal. The garden boasts a private haven of tranquility surrounding the resort, in a sense a spiritual ‘buffer zone’ from the outside world for visiting tourists. The Lumbini Buddha Garden is set in a natural environment so that, during a stay, our guests feel that they are living in true harmony with nature.

I picked this resort based on other reviews and I am glad I did. I am on a pilgrimage to the Birthplace of Buddha and the Maya Devi Temple. As soon as I arrived I was greeted with the staff's smiling faces. I was taken to the dinning room to relax and get something to drink. From that moment the staff was very attentive, responsive, and kind. The room was extremely clean and the air conditioner worked great. This is important due to the high temperatures in Lumbini. Each morning I was amazed and filled with joy as to the variety and sounds of all the birds in the resort's peaceful courtyard. The only thing better than the birds singing in the morning, was the quality of the food. WOW!! Everything was delicious. I decided to take a Tuk Tuk each way to Maya Devi Temple and the resort was happy to call for one every time. I did not want to walk the distance to the sacred garden grounds in the Lumbini heat. Overall I had a fantastic experience at the Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort.

If you're planning on visiting Lumbini and you're not sure where to stay, wonder no longer: Stay at Buddha Garden. The accommodations are nice and the grounds are beautiful -- it's not called Buddha Garden for nothing. The staff at Buddha Garden took very good care of me. Although the monastic zone is not far away, the hotel arranged for transportation to and from. It was recommended to me that I meet up with the on-site naturalist for some bird watching. I did this and it was a treat. I saw many species of bird and all on the grounds of the hotel. When I had some free time, the hotel arranged to take me to some historical sites associated with the life of the Buddha in and near Kapilavastu. This was another treat for me, and if you're at all interested in Buddhism I recommend you add this excursion to your plans. Thank you, Buddha Garden for a great visit!

I booked this place to be close to the Lumbini Buddhist temples. The position of the hotel is very good because it’s very close to the temples. At the same time it’s close to Bairawa City. Quite and relaxing place with beautiful green surroundings. The place was clean, and the staff were very nice people. The food also was pretty enjoyable. I would very much recommend this hotel.

This is a gem we stumbled on, quite by chance, but oh so precious. The rooms are well appointed, well looked after and our stay was amazing. The F and B manager, Deepak Sunar, was very professional in his approach and courteous and well informed. Nothing was too much trouble. The food here is to die for … well cooked, fresh ingredients and the chef, Navraj, is happy to share his wide repertoire of dishes. Watching him cook is a delight. Thanks also to the manager Sunil for his support. We will be back soon!

What a place to stay! Close to where Buddha was born. Super freindly and caring staff. Great food, most of the vegies are organically grown in their own farm. Found out that the owner is the country's top naturalist and leading conservationist, who has been in tourism for decades. No wonder the resort premises are full of native and exotic species of plants. Plenty of rooms for groups. BBQ spaces. Can have bonfire nights. Large Conference room. Meditation room. Open air yoga space. Morning walks. Makes a very attractive reosrt for both domestic and international visitors. There maybe higher-end Hotels in the area, but they can not complete with its natural ambience, affordability and location.

This resort does not show up in the top places to stay at Lumbini, but it really should. Two new with wings with modern, clean rooms and spacious bathrooms (photos not yet on website), with balconies looking over an expansive garden that has fruit trees and hammocks and cots. There is also a large two bedroom cottage on stilts that would be perfect for a family of four or two couples. The large property is surrounded by trees and paddy fields further out. Especially recommended for families - ample space for children to run around, or couples and singles in search of peace and quiet. Would be a great place for yoga retreats or office get-aways. Service staff were polite and responsive to requests, and the chef turned out some delicious food - we had Nepali meals and spring rolls. Very relaxed stay. The hotel booked our air tickets, arranged pick-up and drop-off by taxi and a Lumbini tour by electric tuk-tuk with a helpful driver. All for a very reasonable cost. There are convenient early morning and late evening flights to and from Kathmandu. Highly recommend. Just reopened after the covid closedown, Nepal tourism industry is awaiting the return of tourists. Do patronise to keep these properties going and support the livelihoods of the many thousands who have been deprived of employment during the pandemic.

The resort is located in a quiet and tranquil place amidst nature close to the birthplace of Lord Buddha, at Lumbini. Its well maintained garden is a private haven of tranquility. The mornings among the lapse of rural nature gives you a feeling of repose and calmness. The vast green fields among the boundaries of the resort is a nice place to enjoy a amorous walk. You can easily meditate and relax in the peaceful ambience in true harmony with nature. Breakfast is complimentary and good. The rooms are fine. Three categories of rooms available - cottage, delux and tents. Free wi-fi, air-conditioner, 24 hours hot and cold water, colour television, almost everything required is available. Staffs are helpful and amiable. Food is wonderful.

You have three tips of rooms, we chose the bungalow, nice room, two beds, the bathroom clean with a few amenities ( soap and shampoo) enough towers, 4 km from the big attraction of the city, in tuk tuk is 300 NPR, the breakfast is buffet, the dinner was also and the price was around 2000 NPR for two people. The service was incredible, Mr. Sunil Chaundhary did the welcome and the check out, always friendly, smiling and helpful. Also other members of the staff was too. You have complementary 2 bottles of 1 L of water in the room and some tee or coffee. The tuk tuk from the airport is 800 NPR or 1300 NPR if you prefer the taxi. I have a good time there.

We had just one overnight here. The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and well equipped but somewhat spartan. Pictures on the walls would make them more homely. The property is set back from a busy road; we got an undisturbed sleep. Breakfast and dinner were fully adequate. Wifi is available but the internet connection is painfully slow; I recorded a download speed of 1.6 Mbps.
