Lumbini Buddha Garden is a quiet and tranquil resort close to the birthplace of Lord Buddha, at Lumbini in south-central Nepal. The garden boasts a private haven of tranquility surrounding the resort, in a sense a spiritual ‘buffer zone’ from the outside world for visiting tourists. The Lumbini Buddha Garden is set in a natural environment so that, during a stay, our guests feel that they are living in true harmony with nature.

January 2019: We arrived late from Kathmandu to our hotel in Lumbini. It was long drive and the road at times is bit bumpy and especially when nearing to our hotel Lumbini Buddha garden. It is a nice place, quiet and with some facilities for children to play. Though when you arrive you may not feel like it is hotel because the structure is not big as you expect. The actual rooms are just behind scattered and not seen immediately. The rooms have more privacy with all basic necessities not luxury. The staffs are friendly and helpful and food is good. I found it ideal for family stay. I was told they have plan to build new structure sooner and hopefully it is underway already. I am sure the services will certainly get improved even better with the new structure. Good luck to Lumbini Buddha garden.

Spotlessly clean lodge accommodation set in beautiful gardens. Well appointed rooms .and very comfortable beds. The food was excellent and very good value. I cannot speak highly enough about Sunil Chaudhary the manager . He and his staff looked after me and my fellow travellers extremely well. The service and lots of smiles made this a very memorable stay. Many thanks for looking after me ....AlexP

First, the service is great. Sunil, the manager, is genuinely eager to help and cater to my needs. Once he's heard that I already knew a little about Lumbini, he gave really useful advice on what else I can see. So I really appreciate that he really thinks for the customers. The facility in general feels rustic, but in a planned way. I really enjoy the 2-minute walk outside from my room to the dinning area, passing the fruit trees and meditation area (which is a tiny tent that allows sitting outside without the mosquitoes). The room: Very comfortable and spacious. There's also a front porch without too much going on nearby. That means I won't be staring at the others. I visited in May, so at some point it reached 40 degree Celsius (=104F), so it was a pity that I didn't get to stay outside for long. The cleanliness is on par with any good hotels in Pattaya or Phuket. I feel comfortable using the towels and walking barefoot in the room. The location: Admittedly not great. It takes 25 minutes to walk from the Pagoda (and much longer from the Maya Devi Temple), so you would have to get a cab or tuktuk. Also, there really isn't much going on right outside of the property, so you would have to take a cab to "the town" (a street with 6-7 restaurants and some convenient stores). But then again, this is actually great if you like it quiet. I actually look forward to visiting Lumbini (and this property) again when the airport has expanded and all the temples are complete in a few years.

This hotel is off the main Lumbini road which due to repairs, is very very dusty. But once you are within this property you get the fresh air which was missing otherwise in Lumbini. The hotel is strategically located with the temple complex and airport in close proximity. Though I stayed there just for the night, I would say that being in the quiet surrounding helped in a very sound sleep. I would say, that though it was a short stay, I thoroughly enjoyed being there.

This lodging consists of a main lodge with restaurant which is surrounded by several small bungalows. The rooms are large, clean and each bed has a mosquito net. The gardens are quite nice and the pathways are well lit at night. A unique place to stay.
