The hotel is located in the heart of Janakpur. The hotel maintenance was poor. Restaurant was closed. The rooms were dirty. Room service worst. Receptionist was not responding. Cleanliness was also poor. But I acknowledge that the hotel was good during my previous visit two years back. On the whole, total terrible experience.

We stayed here for a one night when we were passing through. The rooms are pretty poor for Nepal standards, we paid 1200 rupees for a double room which was very basic, outdated and the bathroom wasnt properly clean. There was hot water and wifi and the room was suprisingly quiet considering the location. Poor service at the front desk... More

We actually didn't stay here so I can only comment on the service we received when booking...but after phoning the day before to book a room (& have it confirmed) we arrived to be told by a rude, disinterested staff member on reception that the hotel was full. When we tried to make friendly conversation we were ignored! My husband... More

I've stayed three times at Manaki Hotel during short (1-3 day) work trips. The Maithili art at the entrance and lobby are the best aspects of the hotel. The rooms are sufficient, and since they repainted the inside of the hotel recently, much nicer than they used to be. However, the lighting and general ambience of the place leaves much... More

The hotel was fine, there's not much choice in Janakpur and it was clean and quiet. We were only there for one night (in transit from Nepal to Darjeeling) and that was really enough. Not the cheapest place we've stayed and there was a weird green light in the room (maybe something to do with the mosquitoes) which seemed a... More

This is one of the best places to stay in Janapkur because there is no much other options. Hotel is fairly clean and well equipped. Nothing much, but comparing with other in Janapkur, this is almost 5 stars hotel. The hotel is located not far from the train station (10 minutes) and near some of the city religious sites. As... Never again, dirty, curtains full of mosquitos, fighting with them the whole night. Very noisy.

The Hotel Manaki in Janakpur is situated close to the Ram Mandir,Janaki Mandir, Ram Sita Vivah Mandap and Sankat Mochan Temple, making it an ideal place to stay for those who wish to visit these temples (except Jaleshwar which is 30 - 35 k.m away from Janakpur Town). Once inside the compound of the hotel, the premises looks relatively new.The hotel... More
