Niru Yoga Homestay surpassed my expectations and then some. As we arrived we were greeted by "Welcome Home" by Rajan, Niru and their entire family. They make you feel so welcome right from the get go! The property in clean, well maintained and Niru's organic vegetarian cooking is out of this world! Some of my favourite memories from the trip is sitting around the table, eating great food and laughing our heads off. Yoga with Rajan every day is amazing and he and his brother Dinesh are also awesome tour guides. They took us to see the sun rise over the Himalayas, swimming in a jungle waterfall and through many Napali villages in the foothills of the mountains. It is a trip I will never forget and I can't wait to go back!
We had planned on staying in Nepal at Niru's Yoga Home Stay for one week and then travelling to Rishikesh for the second week. Due to the Coronavirus the border in India was closed to tourists and we had to extend our stay for a second week in Nepal. Rajan, Niru, and the entire family not only accommodated but made us feel loved for staying longer. Turned out to be a blessing and couldn't be happier about the experience. Every day we started with Niru's tea, Neti, and morning Yoga . Rajan is an amazing teacher and has the ability to push you into deeper postures in a safe, and controlled way. We then ate breakfast all cooked with Niru's love. So yum. We then would hike for a couple of hours in the mountains exploring local treasures, views, people, and temples. We would then come back for a crazy good lunch again all food Vegan/Vegetarian and grown locally on their farm. Next, we would Zen out for a while then "Tea Time!" followed by another amazing yoga or meditation session. Then more food for dinner. I have never eaten so well on vacation yet lost 10 pounds. Niru's Yoga Homestay will change you and your idea of travel forever. So much Joy, Love, and Positive energy. I can't say enough about the experience.…
Niru homestay was definately my favourite trip i've ever been on. The family is so full of joy and love and you are immediately swept up into. Their guests are more than that, they are family. Nirus cooking is to die for, and drinking her tea during sunset is so peaceful. Dinesh and Rajan are amazing hiking guides, with a real sense of adventure. Dinesh fills his hikes with all sorts of stories and learning opportunities. Yoga with Rajan is like no other yoga class i've experienced; filled with so good pose, happy smiling faces and just a little bit of challenge. On this trip I made so many great friends and I will treasure the memories forever.. not to mention I'll definately be going back!! If you're trying to decide if this is for you, go. Breathe the mountain air, drink the tea, be joyous.…
I will cherish my visit to the Homestay always. I met and travelled with a group. The food (and tea) was super healthy and delicious, our hosts Niru, Rajan, Dinesh and friends kept us very busy with yoga twice a day and a hike that included some story telling and history of various temples and more. Each meal started with a song that would lift everyone’s spirit, I slept like a baby every night and it was hard to leave when my time there was up. Till we meet again I hope. Namaste lovelies.
Four of us (two couples) spent five amazing days with Rajan, Niru and their wonderful family. We are NOT regular yoga practitioners so we were a little worried that this yoga experience would be beyond us. Rajan adapted his teachings to us so that we were comfortable but he still moved us along so that we were doing poses by day five that would have been unthinkable on day one. Rosa the mindfulness and meditation instructor did a beautiful guided session with us that was so grounding and spiritual. Rosa is a gift, a beautiful soul. The whole family worked hard to make our experience wonderful. Niru, her mom and Rosa served wonderful vegetarian meals made from organic produce grown on the property. I am typically a meat eater but loved all my meals and as a bonus lost weight. The rooms were very comfortable with heat or air conditioning available. Rajans father built a bonfire for us in the evening and we all enjoyed some community time. Rajan's brother took us on two amazing hikes. One hike through the village and one up the mountain where we saw five eagles soaring overhead. Rajan's and his brothers children were also gracious and entertaining hosts. There is seemingly nothing that Rajan and his family won't do to make your stay a great experience. This property is nestled in a beautiful valley surrounded by lush mountains on the outskirts of a charming village. In all my travels this has been one of the most beautiful places I have visited. …
