The large porch was very nice and the dining area/breakfast area was nice - though on the 1st breakfast day, no eggs were offered - we were offered them the 2nd day which was nice. There was water and coffee available throughout the day. There was fresh fruit and yogurt, some pastries and I believe maybe pancakes?
The area is very nice - right on the river/park. Close to downtown shopping and dining - which we really liked. Free parking.
It sounds like the owners have some big plans for the place - so hope that works out for them. They apparently have some live music evenings (not when we were there) outside on the back yard/gazebo and they also have a lot of events.
Only thing that I thought was a bit odd was that you could not bring liquor (wine/beer, etc) into your room from outside sources - so no nightcap for us. If the bar at the house had been open - then I don't have a problem, but by the time we returned to the room, everything was shut down. Apparently has to do with their liquor license and it was made known to us before hand...but just a bit of a disappointment - maybe offer a mini bar in the rooms for a night cap?
David and Layla were so kind and friendly. The breakfast (made by Layla) was phenomenal and worth the stay just for that!
It’s location is great - right between Island Park and downtown. Everything was a short walk away. The park is lovely with new skate ramps, pickle ball courts, and a water park for kids!
We stayed in room 8. It’s a large room with the most comfortable bed! I slept really well.
While we didn’t take advantage of some amenities because of time constraints, we did enjoy coffee on the back patio which was lovely. They also have beer and wine available.
We’ll be back!
And the room was nicely decorated with great charm. Breakfast was super yummy and extra sweet thanks to our little waitress, Olivia, who we have missed already. We plan to come back!
The place was immaculate and comfortable. We felt pampered. Would definitely stay again!
