Splendid property. Large open spaces, grand lobby and dining areas, beautiful pool and the cottages are really big and toilets equally so with lovely open area shower space as well. Staff were wonderful and go beyond their call of duty. They are so fun too and ever ready to help with a big smile. We were just two couples in the whole resort and nothing was compromised . All the lovely lights were left on and the tables were set impecably for us every day. The daily tea sessions were a bonus. Views were great and spotted a couple of giraffe on the properties waterhole. The safari to etosha was organised by them and the guide cum driver was so knowledgeable . Absolutely WOW! stay. Only small hitch is that it is a 50 mins drive to the Anderson gate.

This place is a hidden gem. It is about 50 minutes drive to the Anderson gate of Etosha. The rooms are very very large luxurious and the views are great. The restaurant, pool, shop, spa and library are all wonderful and I was tempted to extend my stay. The staff of this place are adorable and they took care of us so well. Double thumbs up !

The hotel was all renovated, with huge and intimate rooms. Spacious bathrooms with bath tub and two showers (inside and outside). The rooms are located on the hills so you can choose if you want to walk or ask the staff to take you there. Huge and comfortable swimming pool, breakfast and diner delicious. They organize safari inside their reserve or in Etosha. It’s located 30/45min from Etosha. But what really made the difference was the exceptional service of all the staff, nobody excluded! Everyone was smiling and always ready to help you in all the occasions. In this kind of hotel I always have the feeling everything is tips/dependent and everything is drive by tips. This is not the case there, they are really there to help you and to share all their knowledge with you. A huge thank to Enrico, the general manager, Raphael, the best guide we had in our amazing journey, Freedom at the gate, Thea at the restaurant and to all the amazing staff! Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of all the staff but it’s really rare to find such a nice team.

Stayed two nights here in half board. Warm welcome with welcome drink and a fresh towel was really appreciated after a 552 km trip. During the explanations our luggage was brought to the room, afterwards we have been driven by an electrical golf cart to our room. We had a Villa on the top of the hill with splendid views. All possible amenities provided, a massive bathroom with an external shower. Super nice bed with an amazing sleep comfort. Dinner is served in a very beautiful place, a set menu consisting of a amuse bouche, a caramelized onion soup, a mushroom tartlet as a starter to be followed with the main course which could be chosen of meat or fish we opted for sirloin beef with mushroom sauce and garlic potatoes and cauliflower to end with frozen lemon parfait. All nicely presented and very tasty. Very attentive and professional staff.

When we arrived we were informed that the massage that was included in our price is not possible. The food was terrible and our rooms hot water did not work the first night. The only positive was Milton without him it would have been the worst stay ever

Although they are on skeleton staff due to Covid, Paul and his staff made our stay very special and memorable. They went out of their way to accommodate us in every way. Our thanks to everyone, we can really recommend Epacha.

The lodge and chalets are breathtaking. The food is wonderful and the chef did a great job catering to allergies. We did a drive to Etosha with Francis and had a great day, saw loads of wildlife, fantastic value for money for the time and effort he put in.

The lodge is nicely located in a huge park, already upon arrival giraffes are crossing your path! The pool area is very nice and comfortable, although starting around 4pm you will be eaten by mosquitos so make sure to have you bug spray ready to go. The rooms are very nice, spaecous and comfortable- watchout though are the carpets which are slipping on the floor like crazy. In terms of service there are some clear shortcomings, upon arrival no information was volunteered around activities or also the spa for example which is supposed to be of interest at this hotel. bar tenders were completely lost - even a gin tonic was a challenge. The worst part though was the dinner which entailed amongst other things a sad salad with industrial mayonnaise sauce and worst of all a completely chewy/hard oryx steak. We both could not eat the meat and hence told our waiter that there was an issue... the plate was taken and the explanation was: that the meat came like this... There was no apology, no proposition to get another main dish - the desert was brought without any further comment. Also the pace of the dinner felt rushed, once a plate was taken already the next dish was brought out, which is clearly not a sign of quality.

As with many lodges, this was well off the beaten track but well worth the journey. The lodge is fairly small, with only 18 twin rooms, each in it's own building. The rooms are huge with both indoor and outdoor showers and a balcony from which we could see over the Lodge's own reserve - we sat and watched the giraffes. Very comfortable beds with mosquito netting, although this was not needed when we were there. All facilities, including bathrobes, tea/coffee making, fridge and safe. The rooms are all up a hill - perfectly walkable but the lodge will ferry you around in a golf buggy - just phone reception and they will fetch you. The communal areas are all at the bottom of the hill. There is an infinity pool, spa, bar, restaurant and shop. There is tea, coffee and cake available at the poolside every afternoon. Wi-fi only available in these areas. The bar has a small outside seating area from which you can see over the (rather distant) waterhole, although the animals did come much closer to the lodge as well. With a maximum of 36 guests the restaurant is small and intimate. Breakfast is a buffet with the usual food and drink but good quality. Dinner is a set meal with a choice of 2 main courses, one of which is local meat (oryx/eland etc). Staff are really helpful, friendly and welcoming. We had to leave very early to return to Windhoek and they were happy to provide an early breakfast for us. The lodge is very convenient for game drives in Etosha (about 1 hour away) and it also offers game drives around their own land. There is also a spa, but we didn't use this.
