Stayed two nights here in half board. Warm welcome with welcome drink and a fresh towel was really appreciated after a 552 km trip. During the explanations our luggage was brought to the room, afterwards we have been driven by an electrical golf cart to our room. We had a Villa on the top of the hill with splendid views. All possible amenities provided, a massive bathroom with an external shower. Super nice bed with an amazing sleep comfort. Dinner is served in a very beautiful place, a set menu consisting of a amuse bouche, a caramelized onion soup, a mushroom tartlet as a starter to be followed with the main course which could be chosen of meat or fish we opted for sirloin beef with mushroom sauce and garlic potatoes and cauliflower to end with frozen lemon parfait. All nicely presented and very tasty. Very attentive and professional staff.…
When we arrived we were informed that the massage that was included in our price is not possible. The food was terrible and our rooms hot water did not work the first night. The only positive was Milton without him it would have been the worst stay ever
Although they are on skeleton staff due to Covid, Paul and his staff made our stay very special and memorable. They went out of their way to accommodate us in every way. Our thanks to everyone, we can really recommend Epacha.
The lodge and chalets are breathtaking. The food is wonderful and the chef did a great job catering to allergies. We did a drive to Etosha with Francis and had a great day, saw loads of wildlife, fantastic value for money for the time and effort he put in.
The lodge is nicely located in a huge park, already upon arrival giraffes are crossing your path! The pool area is very nice and comfortable, although starting around 4pm you will be eaten by mosquitos so make sure to have you bug spray ready to go. The rooms are very nice, spaecous and comfortable- watchout though are the carpets which are slipping on the floor like crazy. In terms of service there are some clear shortcomings, upon arrival no information was volunteered around activities or also the spa for example which is supposed to be of interest at this hotel. bar tenders were completely lost - even a gin tonic was a challenge. The worst part though was the dinner which entailed amongst other things a sad salad with industrial mayonnaise sauce and worst of all a completely chewy/hard oryx steak. We both could not eat the meat and hence told our waiter that there was an issue... the plate was taken and the explanation was: that the meat came like this... There was no apology, no proposition to get another main dish - the desert was brought without any further comment. Also the pace of the dinner felt rushed, once a plate was taken already the next dish was brought out, which is clearly not a sign of quality.…
