I must confess, as we approached Namutoni, I wondered just what was awaiting us. It looked so military--and there is a very good reason why. Visitors learn this once inside. It was fun to stay there. The rooms were very clean; the grounds well groomed (this is a near desert, so grass is not present). It was just fun to... More

As a Tour Operator for 10 years I visited Etosha Park and its camps frequently and I fell in love with Etosha and its wildlife, the salt pan, the fairytale forest and the smell of the wild. The lions are some of the most handsome in Africa, big and powerful and on every visit I have managed to see them.... More

The campsite is quite busy and there are a lot of noisy groups, they start their trips to Etosha very early in the morning and wake up everyone. The waterhole is floodlit but we didn´t see any animals. The ablutions were not clean when we used them.

As far as the camps in Etosha go, this is the most modern one (in my experience) and in convenient driving distance to two of the gates. Lodge rooms are beautiful, spacious and including luxurious bathrooms. Breakfast is plentiful and varied, staff generally friendly. Comparing to other camps, this one's downside is that it does not have Halali's waterhole or... More

This was my third visit to Namutoni, and it has rapidly deteriorated. There are many areas in sore need of repairs. Camps have plenty of shade, but some have broken braais or electrical outlets. Also ablutions are clean, but faucets are broken, etc. Restaurant has few menu options and meals are not tasty. I love Etosha, but I do not... More

Namutoni camp sites actually surprised me with having less dust and more shade than the other camps. It also had a greater feeling of privacy with the way the camp sites are situated. I do not think that there is enough ablution facilities for all the people camping and what there is definitely need to be updated. I did like... More

This is a lodge with very nice and large double rooms as well as campsites. The rooms are situated outside a Beau Geste-like white fort with low ramparts. Our double room was clean, had comfortable beds and quite spacious. The bathroom is huge, with a sunken tub and large wash basins. There was also an outdoor shower area to the... More

We slept for 2 nights while on tour and I was so disappointed! It is the total opposite experience from Okaukuejo camp. Although this place has much potential with a wonderful setting and historical value-the lack of maintenance is showing. Pour maintenance on fort (could not explore the fort as everything was locked), very little products in tuck shop, lack... More

We came late and had to take the last camp site which had grass and shade, but no fire pit. There are some numbered camp sites and some with no camp site allocation. One group occupied half our site. Better not come late as everything is chaotic before sunset when everyone arrives. The ablutions are better than the other camps... More
