I had booked Etosha Aoba, but we were moved to Onguma Bush Camp because of covid closures (lack of tourists). The entrance to Onguma reserve is just outside the Von Lindequist gate, and we were very excited to arrive early here, and to have time to kick back and enjoy the resort! Worked well to stay here after the park; park lodging would have been disappointing if we had stayed here first. This is a small, very beautiful resort. With impeccable service, gourmet fine dining, attentive staff, a lovely waterhole, gorgeous sitting areas. We did a 5pm sundowner drive, with a top-notch safari guide -- saw tons of wildlife in the reserve (dik diks, springbok, kudus, impalas, warthogs, zebras, giraffes, eagles, vultures, bustards, etc., etc., etc.), and learned lots about these creatures from Victor. We were lucky enough to see a leopard stalking zebras, until his hunt was ruined by jackals! Would've liked to have had more than one night here, and to be able to take advantage of more of the resort's activities. We very much enjoyed our time here!

This place is a little oasis of charm with stunning views, great attentive staff and the rondavel was clean, comfortable and superbly decorated. I had an end rondavel next to the fence so I sat, in peace and quiet, with a glass of wine and watched the Zebras grazing. There was a lovely pool with sun loungers and a lookout tower so you can sit and watch the wildlife in the surrounding countryside. There was an open planned bar and restaurant with sofas so you can sit and watch the variety of animals graze. At night the area is floodlit which gave a wonderful atmosphere to sit peacefully with a book, glass of wine or chat to other guests. Breakfast and dinner were table service with the quality of food being of the highest quality and cooked to perfection. My only disappointment was I only stayed here for one night.

Just outside Etosha Game Reserve, this wonderful bush camp provided first class service and accommodation. This is a must visit location. Beautiful grounds well cared for, good looking pool, waterhole where you can watch the animals during the afternoon and at meal time (it's got floodlights!). Whilst at dinner the beds were turned down and we were left two bottles of complimentary water. Great food.

Just outside Etosha Park, this place seemingly comes out of nowhere! When we arrived, a valet greeted our vehicle with wet cloths for our comfort. Our bags were quickly whisked out of the car as we checked in. The check-in process was quick and the front desk staff were as pleasant and helpful as the valets. Our room (actually a complete thatched roof hut) was simply stunning. From the Dutch doors in the entry way, to the large skin carpet, to the mosquito netting which is elegant, to the very upscale bathroom, this place wowed us - definitely far better than we expected. The room has air conditioning (controlled by remote control) and the WiFi is very good. Looking up at the thatched roof is quite nice. While we were at dinner, the bed was turned down and bottles of water and a ‘bedtime story’ were left in the room for us. The only ‘negative’ was that there were two double beds pushed together to make a king bed, which was fine, except that each bed was made with linens for a double bed, so the beds were ‘divided’ by the linens. The property has a very nice swimming pool and an open air guest area (next to the bar) which overlooks a large pond where various types of wildlife come to drink. The guest area is very comfortable with various types of chairs and sofas, which face the west so you can see the stunning sunset. There are also myriad games for guests to play while relaxing. The restaurant is also top notch and not dinner and breakfast are included in the price of the room. Dinner in the open-air dining room was both wonderful and very elegant - the meal was very well prepared and something you would be served in a high-end restaurant. The grounds of the property are immaculately maintained. In short, we were very surprised at the level of service and the high quality of the property and the rooms. We would absolutely stay here again if we come back to Namibia and visit Etosha!!!
