Very long gravel road of about 30 minutes to reach the lodge. Beautiful place but non useable swimming pool. Too expensive dinner for what you have in the plate. And no other place to eat. You will also ear the mine engines during almost all night. Very good breakfast with a large choice. À better choice would be to stay... More

Overnighted here on our way to Etosha, unfortunately they had no camp sites left so we decided to get a chalet, fantastic place to stay, and wished we could have spent a few days just enjoying the lodge and surrounds. Excellent value, great meals and service. Out of and off the main highway, great location.

Stayed at Uris recently with a small group of European friends as a stopover on our tour of Namibia. Ideally located close to Etosha the lodge has improved noticeably since I first visited in 2009. We stayed at some beautiful expensive lodges during our trip and for several members in our party Uris was their favourite lodge which is commendation... More

We were looking for somewhere to stay on our way to Etosha and chose Uris Safari Lodge. We arrived while reception staff were not around and they did not seem to have our booking. However after a while we were shown to a thatched chalet that was quite narrow and dark. There was airconditioning which had to be turned on... More

We stayed here for two nights during a business trip to Tsumeb. The reviews here made this place seem great, so we decided to give it a shot. The drive from the main road to the lodge took forever due to the terrible gravel road. There's also a couple gates to go through, so we had to get out of... More

We stumbled upon this place quite by accident and it was good luck indeed. It's not in Etosha, instead, just outside Tsumeb. If one were planning a trip to Etosha this would be a good place to start. The reception and wait staff were very friendly and well-trained, from point of arrival to departure. We considered staying in the chalets,... More

After reading the reviews for Uris Safari Lodge, I think there is some confusion - particularly the reviews describing the Etosha Plains and a steep hill to the restaurant. The Uris Safari Lodge is not in Etosha Park, but rather on the way (approx. 1 hr southeast near Tsumeb) and there was no steep topography between the chalets and the... More

Great interior, nice lounge, beautiful rooms. Good news that the african staff is taking over the management at the end of the year. Food was a bit disappointing considering the rating of this lodge. ,

Having stayed at far superior location this Safari Lodge was a little disappointing. While the service was good, the staff always on hand to help and the food plentiful and of excellent quality the room we had was a little tired. The views across the plains to Etosha National Park revealed little spectacle and the area surrounding the accommodation was... More
