This was one of those rare hotel experiences in Egypt where everything was just perfect! The beach, the rooms, the food, the professionalism and friendliness of the staff were flawless!
There were a few individual staff members in particular I wish to mention as they went out of their way to take our experience to the next level!
Mahmoud from the housekeeping staff always made sure our room had everything we needed.
Hamada from the beach staff always made sure our beach experience was flawless.
Ehab, one of the waiters at the shisha terrace was simply a gem of a human being and always managed to put a smile on our faces with his conversations.
And last but not least, Ahmed from the shisha terrace made us some of the best shishas we’ve had at any hotel we’ve been in.
I would also like to mention that the entire staff at the waves restaurant were nothing short of spectacular and made our dining experience world class!
My family and I will most definitely be coming back here again!

A place where they welcome you with a smile and do everything to ensure that the guest has to relax and recharge. The weather is surprisingly stable, with a pleasant wind. The sea and beach are wonderful. The rooms were constantly cleaned, the staff in the restaurant, despite the weekly shifts, quickly learned about our habits and often brought us what we used to eat without asking. I would like to highlight the attentiveness of the staff at the reception not only towards the children, but also towards the elder. From lifeguards, parents get real support and ensuring smiles. The holiday exceeded our expectations, which was due not only to the charm of the place but also to thanks to the staff. The pillows had been hard and big for our taste but I haven’t tried to resolve it with room service, so I have another reason to return and find it out the selection of pillows ;).

I recommend this resort also with children, the beach is wide, all sand and crystal clear sea ... even at the airport no problem on the way out or even on the way back ... as soon as you get off among other things you can buy immediately from the guys at the airport the sim card for social and whatsapp ... there are also many excursions to do: El Alamein, Siwa, Cairo, Alexandria, Egypt, the city of Marsa matruh and others... outside the hotel there is a small center with very nice clubs...

For a hotel that charges such expensive prices, it leaves a lot to be desired, This is definately the worst hotel I have stayed at through my 45 years of travelling worldwide. Entering the room you immediately notice the sewege smell in the room which is disgusting, to add insult to injury, upon checking the amenities in the room, it was found that the bathroom does not have tissues nor in the bedroom, the hail dryer does not work, and there is only one bar of soap available.furthermore, one can see that no maintenance has been done to the bath room since it was built as the tile grouting has been broken and missing and the shower tiles are extremely slippery and dangerous to stand on, in addition to all that, the shower vertical chrome rod is loose and kept falling off. Upon checking the bedroom, it was found that the safe is locked and the operating system and antiquated, there is no iron and ironing table in the room which is a basic aminety is any hotel around the world. The veranda window locking mechanisim is useless as I was locked out of the room as the sliding window mechanism locks the windowns once the windows are closed. The internet charges are rediculuos and the system is weak, all respectable hotels provide free internet on their premises, except for the Jaz Crystal that its main mission is to over charge you for the rooms and a below than average internet services, needless to mention the disastorous and less than ept house keeping department. The truth is I have seen road side motels furing my life that are better than this so called "5 stars" establishment

My husband and I have been coming to this Hotel yearly for over five years. The beach lodges have taken over the sea view for anyone not renting one of them for the day. There used to be a decent distance between each lodge, now they are so close to each other that they have impaired the view for all visitors trying to sunbathe under the umbrellas, that are all behind the lodges which no longer provide the sea view as you historically enjoyed regardless where you sat. The hotel name should change to Jazz Lodge. Matter has been taken out of proportion, If you walk next door to the Oriental which is currently closed the lodges are with a fair distance from each other providing a near decent view for all sunbathers sitting behind them. Hower, at the Jazz Crystal the lodges have multiplied without taking into consideration all the sunbathers behind them which are the overwhelming majority. Truly deceived by this new set up.

There are not a lot of hotels on Egypt's north coast. Accordingly the rates are staggeringly high. We had a half board package and I have to say the food was remarkably good (especially compared with other Jazz hotels). The staff are friendly and very attentive, both the hotel and beach staff. Room cleaning seemed a bit understaffed, not horrible just hurried. Housekeeping gets one star only....several requests were ignored. Oddly, the outlets are all a three-pronged make I've never seen before. They don't fit well with appliances you may need. Also the mini fridge never got anything really cold. I rated Jazz Crystal three stars only because its too expensive for the value. Anywhere else they wouldn't be able to command more than $250 per night but I can't fault them....at the end of the day its supply and demand. Lastly, the hotel should put a floating base out in the water to swim to.

You are welcomed into a majestic hall of polished marble, the first thing you notice is a pleasant scent of lemongrass which will continue to be diffused throughout all the rooms. Cleanliness is obsessive both in the common rooms and in the bedroom. The staff were friendly and polite. The breakfast was very abundant with a wide choice of sweet and savory options. Spicy but good lunches and dinners, with a medium variety of choice. The dessert buffet is always event style and you can indulge yourself. The beach, adjacent to the village, leaves you speechless. The crystal clear water and the very clear sand make you feel like you are in paradise. Beach towels are provided and are regularly replaced. The entertainment, present but not pressing, knows how to help you in times of need without being intrusive. To underline the service that the structure offers for those of us who had a flight at 10pm, having the room checkout at midday they made a room available to us free of charge one hour before departure to take a shower and change. Priceless. I highly recommend a stay in this property for a relaxing, exciting holiday in shades of blue.

We appreciate and praise the quality of the hotel and its services, the cleanliness and the number and amenities of the rooms, the beautiful sea, the beach and the beautiful promenade by the sea. We especially want to praise the room maintainer Mohamed Moamen, especially his willingness to help, the pair of lifeguards on the beach Mohamed and his colleague. We really liked the willingness and kind service of the waiters Eslam Bedir and Abd Allah, and we also praise the cook Eslam Kenay, who prepared gluten-free pasta for us with a nice smile. Suggestion for service improvement: 1. Paper napkins when eating 2. Bigger clock and weather conditions (wind, temperature,...) at the beach bar. 3. A changing cabin on the beach to change a wet swimsuit, changing in the toilet is uncomfortable (there are no hooks to hang wet and dry swimsuits, understandable smell,...) 4. Marking the entrances to the building so that you can find your way around better in the first few days 5. Directional signs on the promenade do not have arrows indicating where each hotel is 6. At least sometimes sorbet-type ice cream for those with a milk allergy 7. Announcements about evening programs and other important hotel events on posters or blackboards

We are a family of 5 - with children at ages of 13, 12 and 7, looking for a relaxing and recharging break.
When most of Europe was in a heat wave in the 40's, Almaza Bay was early 30's with a lovely breeze from the Med. The hotel complex is made of 3 key hotels in the Jaz Group, Crystal is the middle one and was recommended by friends. Hotel atmosphere is spacious, you simply stroll from two amazing swimming pools all of 20 meters to sea, which has beautiful rich colours.
Service is top notch, always with a smile and ready to help, but also discrete.
Food was fantastic, the range of restaurants across the complex was great - Pier 88 is a must - and the rooms were always spotless.
We are a UK family and unfortunately at this time has no direct flights unlike our Italian, Croation and Slovakian friends. That said it was absolutely worth the effort to get there and we combined it into a fuller holiday.
The only niggle was that the WIFI can be a bit patchy, and whilst we did have a few problems initially with the WIFI in the room, they were promptly addressed when raised.

There are ash trays on every table in the room outdoor patios. There were also ashtrays on each beachside table. I’m not a smoker, but I did smell cigarettes all over the place. I hope this helps.

The hotel offers a buffet breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant ( part of the half board package ) which serves a high quality food that cater for all palates
In addition there are beach bar restaurants as well as few restaurants on site that serves oriental , Italian , sushi as well as international cuisines ( can be a bit pricey though)
Bottom line , you will be spoilt for choices
