Stayed here for 3 nights. Place was cleaner and better than some of the reviews read. They were finishing new flooring in the lobby which looked completely remodeled, was friendly, spacious and welcoming. The work didn't interfere with our stay. The room was clean, spacious and had great amenities. Only disappointment was that the bed choices were two queens or one king bed. I requested a king, but there is no way that bed was a king or queen, but more the size of a full. Bed was decently comfortable still and one person had to sleep on the fold out couch which I was told was also reasonably comfortable. The view was spectacular of the harbor and there is a patio in back with chairs and cafe tables, but the water level is so high there is a walkway from the patio to a gazebo that is all now underwater. We found photos of how this area used to look and would have been nice. Overall, would stay again. Love the peaceful quiet location. Across the street is Waterdog Outfitters to rent canoes, kayaks, bikes and the Dog n Suds has spectacular soda floats.

We love staying here! It is pet-friendly and the rooms are spacious and overlook the marina on White Lake. It's centrally located near the bike path and town so several attractions are within walking distance. The small establishment is staffed with some of the most friendly, accommodating people as well! I highly recommend staying here!

After months at home during Covid19 pandemic we needed a mini getaway and we wanted to be away from crowds and enjoy the great outdoors as much as possible. The Weathervane in Montague was perfect. Small hotel with great views of the harbor on White Lake. The room was very clean and huge even with a king bed. The solid wall of windows and door leading to the balcony was very inviting. While on the balcony, the balconies of neighboring rooms are only separated by a railing so if your next door neighbors are out, you are within a couple of feet of them. We only saw one other couple on the balcony during out stay. The king bed was comfortable, although the pillows are a bit too flat for my taste. We did take advantage of the huge jetted tub for two overlooking the water views. I was disappointed that the in room fireplace was turned off for the season. While it was June, it was a cool 65 degrees and fire would have been nice to remove the chill from the room and add to the couples getaway ambiance. The shower had two shower heads which was heavenly. and big enough for two. The water level was very high around the hotel so the gazebo and the path to it was underwater. The breakfast was limited due to covid19. Packaged muffins, donuts, juice and fresh coffee. Masks were required when in common areas which was important to us.

Found roaches in the room. GROSS!!! Hot tubs barely work. Not all it’s cracked up to be. Comfort inn is a way better deal,,,, way way way better people and it’s clean. The prices are way better also. Plus the comfort inn has a very nice restaurant/tavern with some amazing food right in the hotel. I went to weathervane first on a recommendation from a local at a shop I was working at. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! I’ll never make that mistake again.

Amazing Inn right on the lake and there's a fireplace and jacuzzi tub in every room and we stayed on our wedding night. Also stayed at the inn on our Anniversary in November more than once and the rates were a little less money than the summer rates. If you like Lighthouses check out this Lighthouse and the area has small shops downtown and Whitehall Really close to North Muskegon and the city of Muskegon Michigan for more restaurants and things to do for fun
