An absolutely adorable Inn nestled in a serene town 3 hours west of Detroit. While the decor is a reflection of yesteryear, the large one room space was equipped with a fireplace, jacuzzi and patio with two rocking chairs. We truly enjoyed chatting with our neighbors on the patio while looking at the boats in the marina.

We had a wonderful time. Our fireplace jacuzzi room overlooked the lake and it was beautiful. We watched movies, used the tub, and slept great. In the morning we got food from the breakfast buffet - coffee, juice, muffins, toast, yogurt, oatmeal, and cereal and enjoyed the lake views and cozy room. Then we enjoyed the little town and especially the soda fountain shop. Looking forward to another stay soon.

On a fall break girls trip, my 13 year old daughter and I stayed at the Weathervane. The staff was kind and helpful during check in, breakfast, and checkout. We enjoyed the outdoor space in the cool evening and morning hours during our October stay!

Perfect place stay on our start of a Michigan trip. All the rooms have a small balcony so you can sit and watch the harbor on White Lake. Plenty of restaurants and microbreweries to visit. Located conveniently to be used as a hub for day trips up and down the lakeshore. And it is very dog friendly. You can even make that need known during the online reservation process. Most hotels require you to call if you need to reserve a room with a pet. Bed is very comfortable, too. I highly recommend a visit.

I almost hate to write reviews for my favorites as I’d like to keep them a secret. Ha! This place is dated, it’s old. That’s the end of the bad news. The rooms are HUGE (complete with jacuzzi and gas fireplace and they are CLEAN! And, the staff is friendly and attentive and competent. The location is lovely with parks nearby and a small town within walking distance. Coffee (five blends), tea, and hot chocolate was available most hours and continental breakfast was better than some. Bed was comfortable and we had a nice lake view. Highly Recommend.

2 deluxe rooms. Thread bear sheets with extremely soft mattress makes for little sleep. Staff was friendly, but do not manage the room quality. Breakfast was nice and coffee choices were great. The room was clean. They did provide nice towels .

Older hotel located at the end of White Lake. There is a great patio where you can sit and watch the boats and birds. We even saw a heron. We got just the standard room and it was fine. The room and lobby were clean. People at the desk were friendly. We had a view of a roof from our room but we knew that it didn't have a view. The bed was comfortable and the towels were great. The only issue was you had to stand on a chair to adjust the air conditioning. That was odd. I asked at desk if that was the only way and lady said yes but she would be happy to stand on the chair for us. We handled it ourselves. There was a small fridge and in room coffee. The breakfast was in the lobby where there are a few tables. There were no hot items except a pancake machine. There were choices of bagels and pastries, yogurt, fruit juice and fruit cups and hard boiled eggs. No maid service for a 3 night stay which seems to be the new thing.

Thank you for the feedback, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. At the beginning of COVID, we changed our housekeeping policy that all stay over service must be request. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and our ability to control the spread of germs by not entering guests room unless asked to do so. This protects the spread of anything to our guests and keep our staff safe, ensuring we are always staffed correctly to provide great customer service for all future guests.

We decided to visit Silver Lake Dunes for our Anniversary. I found this Inn and was drawn to it because of the fireplace, jet tub and kitchenette in the rooms. I honestly felt like I was in a luxury hotel. I could not have asked for better accommodations or service. There is coffee and hot water for tea or cocoa, available 24/7. The continental breakfast is great with several choices and all of the rooms have a porch or balcony facing the water. There is a walking/bike trail right outside the door. The photos online are 100% accurate. I highly recommend Weathervane Inn and would absolutely stay here again. I would love to experience all of the seasons in this area. Our anniversary getaway was awesome!

Very homey and luxurious feel. We loved the jacuzzi and the fireplace. The staff was amazing and the breakfast was awesome. Our shower had two shower heads and had really strong water pressure. We loved it so much it is definitely one of the best hotels my family has ever visited.
