We’ve stayed at the Mio Motel every year for “girls weekend”.
The owner is personable and always helpful . She’s been making updates to the motel over the last several years.
The location is perfect if you’re planning to raft the Au Sable river, as you are less than five minutes away from the jumping off point .
The motel is located next to the only grocery store in town, and you are just a short walk away from several restaurant/bar is in the area.

Going on vacation? This is the best place in Mio to stay. Friendly staff and they’re always willing to help. Spacious rooms and clean. Good water pressure and enough hot water to make sure everyone gets a shower

Have been staying at Mio Motel for over 2 decades now. The owners Lisa & Frank are some of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet, I feel like I'm staying with friends when I stay at the motel. Rooms are extremely clean, Frank keeps the place in very good condition, beds are comfortable, there's cable/ac/coffee maker, pretty much anything you would need/want. Location is excellent being 200yrds from the river, next door to a grocery store & Mcdonalds, and across the street from a Family Dollar store, really the perfect location.

The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were courteous, attentive and friendly.
The owners treated us like their own family and were very responive to our needs.

I love this place! We come up to the Mio Motel for canoeing- it’s truly the best place to stay. Rooms are currently under renovation snd looking good. Coffee has been added for each room -definitely a plus. I love having a fire pit to hang out at after a day on the river. Lisa and her husband truly strive to accommodate your every need. What more could you ask fir??

Excellent Motel! Clean rooms, great location and pleasant staff. We have been coming back to Mio Motel for years and they have always remember us and treated us wonderfully. I highly recommend staying here.

Stayed here a few times in the past and decided to stay again on our way through the area.
Very friendly owners, rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. Close to Micky D’Souza, pizza shop is just down the road and it is next door to the Family Fare supermarket.

My family has been coming to this motel for our annual tubing trip for about 10 years now. The motel is very clean and well taken care of. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We truly enjoy our time at this motel. It is a great place to spend with family members especially since they have lots of chairs and a fire pit! They also have coffee for the coffee drinkers in the morning! I definitely recommend this motel❤️

Amazing lady at the desk, and she has a special allowance for taxi drivers who bring loads of people to the area to visit the Amish there. I love that she supports the community like that! The rooms are not elaborate, but spacious, clean, and affordable.

We come here every year for our family tubing trip, very nice and professonal staff, the rooms are clean and spacious, and affordable prices. The owner makes us feel like family every time. 10/10 recommend!!
