We had our perfect small wedding at Villa on Verona in October! Katy was the best hostess anyone could ask for and helped make our special day ours. We were able to customize our day to suite our small group but still have al the special details important to us. The mansion is very clean and beautiful with comfortable rooms. It was great to be able to have our family stay with us for the night and for a delicious breakfast the next morning. Katy is an amazing cook! Highly recommended for your small, medium, or large wedding or for just a romantic night away.
Katy and family and friends make you feel welcome from the minute you enter the home. The old mansion has been tastefully restored and is beautiful. All the bedrooms are on the second floor, if that’s an issue. We really enjoyed our breakfasts. Rooms are clean, do you play the piano?
Villa on Verona turned out to be the perfect lacation to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We reserved two rooms, Verona for three nights and Venice for one night for our two young adult children. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated, comfortable and very clean. Each room has a private bath with toiletries, plush bathrobes and a single serve kuerig coffee maker. I liked the window seat and desk in our room, the Verona. We enjoyed the common rooms as well, especially the game room and bar in the basement where we played darts and boardgames. The cozy sitting room upstairs was a nice place to unwind as well. We spent an evening at the pool, with a deep end, and a bath house that had towels, a mini-fridge with sparkling water and restrooms. Morning breakfast was delicious and held off our hunger until practically dinner time. It was protein packed with daily yogurt with fruit and housemade granola. Over our stay breakfast also included cinnamon rolls, quiche, scrambled eggs, bacon and a potato hash. We were surprised with mimosas on our anniversary! We decided on the kayaking package which worked out great, a 2 hour easy trip down the k-zoo river. Be mindful of the various types of Kayaks, my husband being more experienced, could handle the tipsy one. I need the flat bottomed closed style. The grounds around the Villa are spacious which was one thing I was looking for. There is even a little walking trail through the woods. Safety precautions were in place for this time of pandemic. We discovered lots to do in Marshall and spent one afternoon in Battle Creek. Overall it was a relaxing and memorable time, could not have asked for anything more. Thank you Katy and Jason for your warm hospitality.…
An amazing B&B! This was our second visit in two months. The rooms are beautiful with the perfect balance of elegance and comfort. Fresh flowers, coffee, music and linens to die for. Katy, the owner and innkeeper is a fabulous cook. Breakfast and daily treats are delicious and plentiful. We requested a romantic dinner on our anniversary and Katy was more than happy to accommodate us. She truly outdid herself. We look forward to many more relaxing getaways at this lovely B&B.
We spent three nights in the "Rome" room. Spacious and very light (three windows). The bathroom was rather small but adequate. Comfortable bed. Delicious homemade breakfast served on the porch. Nicely landscaped ground and nice pool where we relaxed and we could see a doe and three fawns walked by. Good concert (folk singer) on the lawn on Wednesday. Katy is a wonderful innkeeper and her dog is so friendly. We certainly will be back
