Villa on Verona turned out to be the perfect lacation to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We reserved two rooms, Verona for three nights and Venice for one night for our two young adult children. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated, comfortable and very clean. Each room has a private bath with toiletries, plush bathrobes and a single serve kuerig coffee maker. I liked the window seat and desk in our room, the Verona. We enjoyed the common rooms as well, especially the game room and bar in the basement where we played darts and boardgames. The cozy sitting room upstairs was a nice place to unwind as well. We spent an evening at the pool, with a deep end, and a bath house that had towels, a mini-fridge with sparkling water and restrooms.
Morning breakfast was delicious and held off our hunger until practically dinner time. It was protein packed with daily yogurt with fruit and housemade granola. Over our stay breakfast also included cinnamon rolls, quiche, scrambled eggs, bacon and a potato hash. We were surprised with mimosas on our anniversary! We decided on the kayaking package which worked out great, a 2 hour easy trip down the k-zoo river. Be mindful of the various types of Kayaks, my husband being more experienced, could handle the tipsy one. I need the flat bottomed closed style. The grounds around the Villa are spacious which was one thing I was looking for. There is even a little walking trail through the woods. Safety precautions were in place for this time of pandemic. We discovered lots to do in Marshall and spent one afternoon in Battle Creek. Overall it was a relaxing and memorable time, could not have asked for anything more. Thank you Katy and Jason for your warm hospitality.

This is the most gorgeous B&B in charming Marshall MI for an extremely reasonable price and they have delicious homemade breakfast. It was the little things like the granola for the fruit Parfaits was her own homemade, the mattress on the bed was insanely comfortable, the fireplaces were all working and free to use, every part of the entire place was seriously CLEAN, our room had Spa quality robes to lounge around in and all the flowers throughout the house were actually real. 🌷🌷🌷 We had an amazing time at the Villa on Verona. 💛 There is lots to see and do in this fun little town like shopping, live music, breweries & great food. We will most definitely be back to this B&B and would recommend it to anyone looking for a charming getaway!

I just hate to do this because I’m afraid all of you looking for a great B & B will schedule time here. We fully plan to use it again and again and do not want it booked up. So I’m not going to go on and on about the stunning decor with stylish details or the comfortable rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. I’m certainly not going to rave about Katie and her natural hospitality. Oh and, by the way, be aware that her breakfasts are so delicious that you just keep eating until you realize you've just put on 2 lbs. No, you definitely don’t want to go here especially in the spring or summer when the pool, pickleball courts and large front porch for rocking away the day are available. Please go the the local Motel 6 and leave this fabulous place to us!

I had the good fortune of staying at Villa on Verona for a business trip this past November. I can say without hesitation this was one of the nicest places I have stayed at in a long long long time. First of all, the building is gorgeous! While historic, it has been completely updated and has everything you could possibly want in a luxury property (business or leisure). They have top of the line amenities, comfortable luxury, great food, convenient location and unmatched market knowledge and hospitality. If you are coming anywhere near Marshall, Battle Creek or any other place within 30 miles, I would make this the first place I would call. It is truly exceptional!

The property is beautiful, the staff is accomodating, and the food is delicious. Located just a short mile outside of downtown it's a quick bike ride to shops & restaurants. We stayed in the Rome Room and it was lovely!

Absolutely gorgeous home! We sat onthe beautiful porch, had coffee and fresh water with fresh infused mint and watermelon. The whole place was super clean ( I am picky too). The owners are super nice too. The rooms are gorgeous, and the shower was adorable.

Place does looks amazing, but the experience is more like an Air B&B than a Bed and Breakfast. Only saw owner once during check in where they stated he had to take our shoes off at the door. That was it for 3 days. We left messages with them as the shower had no soap and they did not respond until the day after we left. So I suppose if there was an emergency or if we got locked out, we would have been SOL. They had a breakfast at a very specific time (8 to 9am) but it could have simply been something left in the fridge as it was a couple of slices of bread and a muffin....not exactly a great option. We ended up going to the Starbucks nearby for each breakfast. The Starbucks barista was friendlier then the hotel. The hotel owner acted as if we were an inconvenience. The only way to the pool was though the grass where they had three dogs do their business with no one picking it up. the owners had a nice walkway to the pool, but that was not an option for the guests.

My wife and I spent a night at Villa On Verona and loved every minute of it. Katy and her team have created a wonderful showplace, inside and out. Our room was clean, comfortable and whisper quiet. We walked the short trail carved through the woods on the back of the property, ate our takeout dinner on the grand front porch, and enjoyed an evening cocktail around the patio table with a fire feature. We didn't make use of the pool but it's beautiful, as is the landscaping that surrounds it. A delicious breakfast was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

We have stayed here a couple times a year for about 4 years. Virginia and Mason are wonderful live in host/owners. The accommodations are consistently clean, stylish and comfortable. Virginia is responsive to requests big and small and does everything she can to make us feel at home. The continental breakfasts have a variety of yogurts, fresh fruit, pastries, nuts, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, etc. Over time, she has adapted to some of our specific preferences ;). Regarding amenities, we have enjoyed the pickleball courts, hot tub and walker friendly neighborhood/cute town with shops. There is also an outdoor pool, game room/bar in the basement and piano in the parlor. Wonderful place for a relaxing weekend or vacation week. They also host weddings and events.

Katy and family and friends make you feel welcome from the minute you enter the home. The old mansion has been tastefully restored and is beautiful. All the bedrooms are on the second floor, if that’s an issue. We really enjoyed our breakfasts. Rooms are clean, do you play the piano?
