My wife and I just finished a three day stay in Room #1. Everything we experienced affirms the reviews already posted. A few things that may not be written about in these reviews. Ken built a castle. The house has six inch concrete walls that are steel reinforced. He also put outdoor insulated doors on each room entrance. And he put sound insulation in the walls. All adds up to a very quiet house and rooms. Also I learned that the house has this hot water system where there is a storage tank and the hot water is constantly circulating through the pipes - so when you turn the shower water on it is instantly hot - I experienced this for the first time and it's great. Also there is a router in every room for great internet. The location is great being right across the street from the lake. Cross country skiing, restaurants, shops and walks by the lake are some of the things we enjoyed. Ken and Sue are great. The breakfasts by the gas fireplace are amazing. We can't wait to go back. Why would anyone stay in a hotel when they could stay in this castle? Thanks Ken and Sue!

The Nestledown was a wonderful bed and breakfast. We stayed in the main floor room and it was spacious, quiet, and clean. The breakfast was amazing and the hosts were knowledgeable of the area and extremely personable. I would highly recommend this B and B and I have stayed in numerous bed and breakfasts. It rates as one of the best!

This Bed and Breakfast was amazing. Breakfast each morning is homemade and delicious. The Inn is very new and our room (#1) had a comfortable king size bed with ample room to move about. A large TV and spacious bathroom was nice. You must use the sauna as it was large and very relaxing. The owners, Ken and Sue, have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and home-like. We enjoyed the conversations around the breakfast table. The Nestledown has to be on your list of places to stay in Marquette. We will definitely be back soon.

My wife and I just finished a 3 night stay at Nestledown. We found Nestledown by searching for lodging in Marquette on Google maps and we are certainly glad we did! We stayed in Room #3 which is a corner room located on the 2nd floor ( of 2 floors) and is very nicely appointed. The descriptions on their website are very accurate and if anything, understated. Ken and Sue who are the innkeepers are very gracious and friendly. The 2 chairs in the room are very comfortable even though they are not the same. The TV had more options than I could figure out but we didn't have any problems watching what we wanted in the evenings. Our trip was for sightseeing in the UP of Michigan (we had never been there before) and Ken and Sue were quite helpful with suggestions on routes to take. The breakfasts were all prepared by Sue and served buffet style. This worked very well as all the guests served themselves from a different selection each day with what they wanted and then we could sit where we wanted in a spacious dining area in a large room or anywhere else. For our stay, it worked out so that all the guests and Ken and Sue ate together and we all enjoyed a friendly discussion about many things. As far as the quality of the food served, it was outstanding and if course included coffee, tea, orange juice plus other beverages. Although we usually only saw Ken and Sue at breakfast, they were available if needed throughout the day. All in all I would give more than 5 stars if possible as this was a very enjoyable stay. I certainly recommend a stay here for anyone visiting Marquette.
