A Beautiful Gem in Marquette. Lovely room and very quiet setting that allowed the most beautiful rest and sleep. Each morning a delicious breakfast with our hosts Ken and Sue and the ability to have lovely conversations with other guests with comfortable social distancing. Our other delight was the Finnish Sauna that we enjoyed each night after our hikes and explorations in the surrounding beauty of the UP. So many areas to visit and enjoy in nature or in the city of Marquette so there is something for everyone. Tips from our hosts on local areas of interest was very appreciated. We had a great experience and hope to return in other seasons. It was just what we needed at this time in our lives. Thank you Ken and Sue

We just returned from a long 3 night stay in Marquette at Nestledown. My wife and I were looking for a COVID safe stay, and The Cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Having a completely separate building all to ourselves made us feel very comfortable. Though in non-COVID times, we would be more than happy to stay in the main building. The entire property is spotless. Probably the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. The Cottage was very spacious with a well appointed kitchen, large bedroom and en-suite bathroom. We were able to bring back take-out from local restaurants and enjoy them in our own space. Everything that you could need was available (coffee, hot chocolate, board games, smart TV, laundry supplies, toiletries, etc.) The main building had nice common areas that I am sure we would have enjoyed pre-COVID. We did however take advantage of the awesome sauna. You were able to schedule a time for your room and have exclusive access. We have never done a traditional Finnish sauna before and Sue was very helpful in explaining the in's and out's. Breakfast each day was fantastic. All home-cooked meals that had a Scandinavian flair. They were all very tasty. Although the B&B was nearly full, there was more than enough space for everyone to spread way out and enjoy their breakfast safely. The owners were very helpful in answering any questions, providing recommendations, and overall very accommodating. Also, the COVID precautions being taken made us feel very comfortable. Marquette is such an awesome area to visit. When we come back, we will be sure to stay again and will recommend Nestledown to our friends and family.

We were looking for a long weekend away and the Nestledown inn provided the perfect setting, amenities and people for that experience. Ken and Sue were amazing hosts with knowledge of the area and warm hospitality. We stayed in the spacious Suite. Everything was clean and the decor was cozy and comfortable. We greatly enjoyed the daily breakfast as well as the Sauna! This is a PERFECT spot for a family or couple to land after a long day of experiencing Marquette. It felt like home!

We stayed in the cottage and had a very relaxing two nights. Five of us total (2 adults and 3 kids 7, 6, and 4). Ken and Sue set up extra sleeping arrangements for two of our children-each kid had a personal sleeping area. Breakfast was filling and the 7 p.m. snack hit the spot. The best part was chatting with Ken and Sue during breakfast-they made us feel welcome. We'll book more nights at Nestledown in the summer! Thank you, Sue and Ken!
