First, we emailed for more information and wanting to make a reservation. No one ever responded to us. So, when we came thru the area we decided stop in and check out the place. First there was NO ONE around anywhere but we came on thru and looked around. Now if you like primitive camping with hookups, more power to...

Bathrooms look and smell unclean; trash piled up in cans, sinks and toilets with refuse around them, no soap in any of the dispensers. Trash piled up in dumpster and environment. Cable and WiFi does not work.

Stayed here for 2 nights, left early the 3rd. Left early due to horrible flies, not owners fault but couldn't stand them any longer. Park site was nice and level. That was about the best of it. Bathrooms horrible, never cleaned. No soap in dispensers for over a week according to a camper that was there earlier than us. Gave...

We spent 3 nights here and wished we could stay longer. I don't understand the comments about cash only because we made reservations in advance and charged it on our card. The place is unique/quirky but offered all the connections we wanted (E/W/S). Lake Superior is right across the road. The location is beautiful!!

We have stay at this RV park for a good 4 weeks now and feel confident with our experience overall here at this park. Sites are gravel and maintained and gives you a real woodsy feel while being able to accommodate a big rig. Close to town and just a wonderful Upper Peninsula experience. We especially liked it as bike...

Recently, the family and I took a UP trip over the 4th of july weekend in a borrowed RV. We originally tried to stay at the Munising Tourist Park Campground but they were all booked up. I'm actually glad we were able to get into the Gitchie Gumee park with no issues. Being so close to Marquette allowed us lot's...

Website is very deceiving!! When we arrived it looked like something out of a horror movie! They only take cash, and we know why people do that! Sites are small and unkept. Water is horrible, we plugged two filters. Very over priced, there are plenty of other campgrounds in the area. We would never go back here nor recommend anyone...

Here's the real deal. THIS IS THE U.P.. This campground personifies everything we love about what the U.P. stands for. Quirky culture, rustic scenery and adventure. We stayed here in September of 2015 and will be going back again every chance we get. The owner is a bit different but is a great guy at heart. He loves this campground...

Under no circumstances should you stay at this park. The conditions are horrible. The owner will take your credit card information and charge seemingly at will charges. If you do stay here, you won't be getting any refund if you book in advance and then figure out all these reviews are true. He was absolutely insulting to my family and...

Do not stay at this park. If you do, do not use your credit card because after you leave the owner will decide that he will charge you for extra electricity even though you never agreed that he could do that and even though we paid a $25. electricity fee in advance. The water is full of iron, will ruin...

“might be ok as an RV park, just not the supercabin. dont EVER expect him to have integrity. get reciepts for every dime you pay him, and pay him in small quantities so that if he rips you off, youre not completely screwed. Im buying an RV this summer and i might see if hell let me use up the money he owes me by letting me park there for however long that $250 buys. (notice that his prices are not displayed on his website. i assume thats so he can change them as he pleases.) so if we work things out that way i will let you know how that goes. although after i use up the $250 he owes me, he will never get another dime from me. i know better, and now so do you. :)”
