Room was clean but for a king room, it was very small. Only one night stand and there were hardly any outlets for chargers and such. It is an outdated hotel on the inside. The outside looked nice. Staff was friendly. The breakfast was continental so very basic.

Ian??? I think that was his name was rude. Room wasn’t cleaned and we asked to have a new one.. he said it was fine.. but there were bugs… and blood on the sheets.. we needed up just leaving and not asking for a refund because what is the point when the employees are unreasonable

The hotel was nice and clean and the rooms were a good size but a broken toilet ruined our stay. Approximately every ten minutes the toilet would run. I tried to trouble shoot it the night we got in but the flapper was bad and needed to be replaced. It was late and we were tired from a long day enjoying the area so we just went to bed. The noise did wake both of us up a couple of times in the night. In the morning we informed the front desk on the problem and they apologized and said they would fix it that day. When we got back to the hotel that evening it still was not fixed. We called the front desk to let them know and he apologized and said that unfortunately there was nothing he could do that evening as it was too late. He said to let them know at check out the next morning and they would make it right. At check out all we got is a sorry about that and a copy of my receipt (she said that’s all she could do). We will be back to Marquette but definitely will be staying somewhere else and suggest you do as well. I have included a copy of the owner's response from my Google review. The lack of care this place shows for their guests really shows in their lack of care in making their response coherent.

We needed to go to the doctor in Marquette and decided to spend the night. I checked our normal places and found them very expensive this year. Decided to give the VH a chance. It is not fancy or special if you are looking for an experience, but it was clean and large and the staff was pleasant. It may not be a great choice if you are looking for a special weekend. It was completely acceptable if you are looking for decent accommodations at a reasonable price. We used our room savings to go out for a nice dinner. We will probably stay there again when we have medical appointments in Marquette.

We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel and room were very clean and comfortable. The staff at the desk were efficient and friendly. We would recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again. Our room was facing Hwy 41. The traffic noise did bother us, but it would likely have been quieter on the other side of the hotel.

We were only passing thru, but room very nice. Originally booked direct with them, but found deals on travel sites for half the price. Value Host matched the price. Close to everything, especially Jilbert Dairy! Recommend.

Has a great time staying here over the 4th of July weekend. Room and Inn was very clean. For the price, it cant be beat. Staff was great. I left some luggage in front of my door as I was checking out. Within 15 minutes they called and stated I forgot it at the room. Very well done. Couldn't be happier. Great Location. 5 min from downtown. Lots of choices for food. 50 minutes away from Pictured Rocks.

We have kids that go to the University in town. We usually stay at comfort suites, however heard good things about this hotel (I guess it was under different management when my friends stayed). We tried quality inn which is right across from this hotel and we Had a bad experience there, so we decided to try this place. Honestly, it was not busy. Especially now when it seems that no one is traveling it was disappointing to find that a small hotel had horrible service and the manager was more interested in flirting with a housekeeper than helping us. We arrived to be told that our ‘reservation didn’t exist & room wasn’t ready’ I asked which one is it? And could I give him a confirmation number or the name of who I talked to when making the reservation ( Ian ). The manager fumbled around while rolling the eyes and looking at the the housekeeper like we were a hassle. We ended up just leaving. Glad they are doing well enough to turn guests away. WOW!

Spent the night. Not bad, quiet, beds pretty comfortable, clean, staff Dylan and( Ian) I think, two of the front desk young men, very very helpful. Breakfast...well, we skipped it. All and all Yes definately would stay again for the price.
