Lodging can be difficult to find in Marquette on the weekend. My Place (highly rated, next door) was booked, but they recommended Days Inn (same owner) and said they had gone through a major renovation. Got two rooms, two nights there (Sun/Mon). It was "ok." It was clean, and reasonable price for the area. However, with their renovation: No towel racks and no drawers to put clothes in. I missed both of these. Sorry... a plastic crate on the floor just doesn't cut it. Also, male clerk on Sunday evening was snippy on two occasions, but female clerk the next morning was very nice. Breakfast... very bare bones, but I did get some Rice Chex and they have waffle machine. Highway 41 is all torn up, so it wasn't convenient for us to leave for breakfast, since we had a 10am tour. Also, even "budget" lodging often will take clothes for dry cleaning if turned into the front desk by a certain time. You should offer this.... I really could have used it on this trip. There was noise from upstairs, but I called front desk, and it did stop soon after. Indoor pool does look nice. We had no housekeeping. Clean on check-in, but nothing on a 2 day stay.

Our first trip to the area and the staff from front desk to housekeeping were very friendly and helpful.
Would highly recommend. Breakfast bar was kept full of items to choose from and was clean with hand sanitizer near by.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. Someone always greeted you when entering the building. The hotel was continually being cleaned/sanitized. Continental breakfast had a fair selection and was also continually restocked and cleaned. The room was nicely appointed as well as clean.

We chose this hotel since it was pet friendly. We were on second floor and we were nervous our dog would make too much noise thru the night. Thankfully there was very little noise even though the rooms around us were occupied. Saying that the hotel was older and the rooms were considerably smaller than other similar hotels in the area. There is no way the beds are queens. With 3 of us and the dog, we kept bumping into each other. The breakfast was better than other buffets with make your own waffle but only cooked eggs was a microwavable cheese omelet and no meats.

Room smelled BAD.Very small for the expensive cost.Tv remote was grimy and totally disgusting.Bathroom was extremely small and smelled bad.I felt dirty just laying in the bed.
Never again. Brentwood is 8million times bigger/CLEANER/better and way cheaper. Had no choice but to stay in this dump.

I hate staying overnight in hotels/motels. Beds and pillows are hard, people are noisy all night long, things don't work and by the time they get fixed it's time to sleep. However, this stay at Wyndham Marquette was just the opposite of my usual experience. The pillows and mattresses were clean and very comfortable. Even though the inn was packed, noise didn't come through or was negligible. I was missing a t.v. remote and it was replaced immediately. I already have reservations to come back! I would highly recommend this property.

My experience with this hotel was everything I could have asked for. The friendliness and consideration of the staff was refreshing and wholly appreciated, taking the extra care to try and ensure that I could get a room that best suited my needs. The hotel had recently finished renovating and updating, but they've still kept plenty of small-town charm and décor showcasing the history of the area. Any time I am in need of a place to stay in Marquette, I know where I will be going!

I'm very happy to read that your were completely satisfied on your recent stay with us. We have a great new look with our recent renovation, but you hit the nail on the head that it's our staff that makes all of the difference in a stay. We're very fortunate to have found the kind of associates that share our vision. We hope that you return soon! Brian Jensen General Manager Days Inn Marquette

The staff in this hotel looks genuinely happy.
This might explain why the hotel/room were so clean and well maintained.
Even for breakfast, the staff was very alert and reacted very quickly to replenish any items running low/out.

A strong recommendation from me

Stayed in room 123 with my family while on vacation travels. Hotel had ample parking . Our room was good and clean. Only complaints were curtains were on backwards, which didn't seem like a big deal except when the white "day" curtains are on the inside of the room, when the A/C would run the white curtains would dance and flow all over the place which was really annoying. The breakfast was really good, it was the first hotel we have stayed in during our week of travels that had hot options (eggs) and make your own waffles. We ate at the Diner next door which gives 10% off if you show your room card. Overall would stay again. The family loved the pools and separate kids and adult spas. Would of used Sauna if it was just wife and I. Was a bit noisy outside due to road construction but nothing could be done about that.

We stayed for one night on our trip around lake Michigan. Room was very clean, fresh air, no smell, the beds/pillows were very comfortable and clean. We checked in late in the evening, the girl at the front desk was very helpful and sweet yet professional. Continental breakfast comes in handy. we will stay again when back in the area.
