I stayed at this hotel for it's location. I was shocked to find there is no housekeeping because of COVID. I think that ship has sailed and the hotel is just understaffed. My room was not clean and the window sills were full of dust and hair from another guest. The bed was not comfortable although the bedding was nice.

We were pleased that we booked a 2 room suite at the Landmark, rather than booking 2 rooms at a nondescrpit chain hotel. Beds were comfortable and having 2 bathrooms was a real bonus. Staff were friendly and the location was walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops. We also enjoyed cocktails at the cute bar on the 6th floor. We had a view of the lake and ski hill. Would definately choose to stay at the Landmark again.

TERRIBLE beds: The only comparison I can make is to a bad futon. I awoke at 3 am with a severe backache that even the couch couldn't help, so I canceled our second night and booked another hotel. This hotel had a dingy and dark entrance area with a matching surly front desk clerk. They claim the rooms have lake views, but I believe you need to have a really vivid imagination for that to be true. There is zero breakfast options and no workout facilities. Intermittent WiFi connection. The suite we were in only had a single floor lamp hidden in the corner, so we had to move it around to read next to the couch (leaving the other half of the room in the dark). The Landmark Hotel is a grossly overpriced hostel without any amenities and without even a decent bed. Avoid at all costs!

Whenever we travel I like to book small boutique hotels and The Landmark Inn fits the bill perfectly. Love this hotel. The bar/pub in this hotel just oozed with old school ambiance. Love the history and especially its location. Right in downtown Marquette. Never had to use our vehicle. Was able to walk everywhere from the hotel. Any visit to Marquette requires a stay at the Landmark Inn.

We have stayed at the Landmark Inn twice before. Our last stay was in 2019 prior to this time. The hotel has always been quite charming with each room being filled with antique furniture and different wallpaper/themes for each room. This is an old building with an art nouveau feel to it. The room we stayed in had been redone - wall paper stripped and repainted a gray color with a blue accent wall. The antiques had been removed and replaced with laminated wood furnishings. The lamps were still old though. The chairs were fine although they were a brilliant dark blue shade. There were no curtains only pull down blinds. There was a fancy mirror otherwise there was no art work on the walls to pull together the bright blue chair and accent wall. Our room was not serviced due to Covid protocols. We asked for more towels and and an additional bar of soap which we were given. We paid $740+ for the two nights we stayed. For this high dollar amount I would have liked to have had: 2 bars of soap, glasses or plastic cups in the bathroom (there were two glasses by the ice container but none in the bathroom), robes (only the suites have robes), more towels so I didn’t have to ask for more, a complimentary bottle of water, a refrigerator without having to ask for one, a makeup mirror attached to the wall, artwork on the walls and a more homey feeling to the room. Oddly, we kept thinking the king bed was bigger than our king bed at home… we realized that the bed had been turned side ways to make it bigger which caused it to be shorter length wise. We only knew this because my husband is 6’5” so his feet hung off the end of the bed. Because of this my husband slept very poorly. Why a hotel would do this is beyond comprehension. On a happy note, the staff was amazing and so kind. Nate went out of his way to offer us a more private place to have a bottle of champagne and various snacks. Our room stayed nice and cool and the water pressure was great. Overall, our stay was was pleasant but the changes that are happening in the hotel are not consistent with the style of the building. The design team should rethink the quality of furnishings and direction of the design.

For the price of the penthouse there was numerous things that should have been better. I wanted to surprise my wife for a nice relaxing stay on our way through Marquette. The penthouse was a nice size and was decorated nicely. However the I had to fix the drain in the jacuzzi tub. The TVs in the bedroom is so outdated that it takes about a minute for the picture to show up. No batteries in the bedroom remote. I had to go take them from another room. Cheezit crackers in the kitchen on the floor. Food on the floor in front of the master off the living room. The blinds have not been dusted in probably months and hair in the tub. On another note the staff was great. The food was great and the service in the crows nest was outstanding. With the problems we had we still most likely will be back it’s a great place.

Stayed at the Landmark for two nights–a splurge of luxury after 3 years of not traveling due to Covid. Small TV and queen beds are full size and mushy-no support! Old, dinged furniture. No plugs. Front desk could not produce an extra ice bucket or wine corkscrew for the wine we brought. We also learned housekeeping only cleans/spruces up the room every four days so we had dirty coffee cups and drink glasses for our stay. Not worth the $300 a night stay. Not luxury. Not cool.

We stayed in a nice upper floor room with a lake view, just down the hall from the Crows Nest- a fun bar with great views to finish the day. Easy walking distance to many dining options and the lakefront. Pleasant staff and vibe- good mix of classic and modern

My husband and I planned a trip to go hiking in the UP. The Landmark Inn was centrally located to the hikes and trailheads we were interested in. Plus, after a good day of hiking, the restaurants and shops were an easy walk from the Inn. Our room was a King Lakeview room and it was very comfortable. Would certainly return!
