This hotel is a fabulous little gem. The rooms are all unique and of a really high standard, they make new hotel rooms look so sterile. There is a basket of goodies awaiting in your room and not just lotions and the usual stuff. I would stay at this hotel again in a heart beat.Probably one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. Theres also a great little pub downstairs TJ's
What a grand hotel. Our room was spacious with a king size bed with a great wooden Frame. there was a working fireplace in the room that just added to the comfort as it was early spring and still chilly. The lobby and wood work through out the building was rich and dark. There was a fabulous Pub in the lower level with outstanding prime rib great menu, cocktails and local brewery beers. there even was live music tastefully played. The town has a lot to offer and Lake Michigan beach is down the street. There was breakfast available at the pub in the morning and it was made to order. it was quite and peaceful. I imagine it would be very different in the summer as this is also a beach community. The cost was for off season and was at mid level but well worth the comfort. I will be back again.…
Stayed in the harbor suite and loved loved loved it. The decor is awesome and so cozy! The staff is great. Lindsay does a great job. Place very clean and quiet. Would defnately stay there again! Thanks for the wonderful stay at the ramsdell
What a great old historic place. I had the corner room with the separate living room. Really nice! Our group had the whole hotel rented out. Everybody loved it, even the older people that had to walk the steps didnt mind. Didn't notice any noise from the street outside or from the pub downstairs, maybe because we were on the fourth floor Coffee in our room since we left before the lobby opened. Some of our group went to the nearby restaurant and some went to the casino for breakfast. We had a great time, hope to stop back again some day but maybe spend a couple nights.
The Ramsdell Inn exudes history with its old-style lobby, beautiful woodwork, very high ceilings, large windows and lovely carpets and stairwells. Yes, getting to the rooms requires steps, but what an oasis upon arrival. We stayed in the most wonderful light-filled room at the end of the hall on the second floor and had a suite with a little windowed cupola looking out on the town. The bed was very comfortable, there was a little fridge, and everything was spotless. The owner we met was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Manistee!
