We stayed at the Ramsdell over the weekend as an escape from being locked down at home. We had the Holister room and it was lovely - spacious, fireplace, fridge and king bed. Since there wasn't any in person dinning, we ordered food from TJ's which is just below the Inn. The food was great and the people working there were super friendly and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed in our room - they even gave us half/half for our coffee in the morning. The rooms and common places in the Inn were all clean and we felt very secure with their cleaning processes - fear not - and book a room!
We stayed with 3 couples last weekend and loved everything. Lindsey the owner was great...running around doing everything from cleaning the rooms to answering the phone and working in the restaurant downstairs. The lobby area is beautiful. Two of us had King rooms, The Jefferson and The Hollister. Beautiful and comfortable. We asked for more hangers and extra coffee for the room and were accommodated. We also were lucky enough to get reservations (thank you Lindsey) at the pub downstairs for Saturday night Prime Rib! Everything was great would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is a fabulous little gem. The rooms are all unique and of a really high standard, they make new hotel rooms look so sterile. There is a basket of goodies awaiting in your room and not just lotions and the usual stuff. I would stay at this hotel again in a heart beat.Probably one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. Theres also a great little pub downstairs TJ's
What a grand hotel. Our room was spacious with a king size bed with a great wooden Frame. there was a working fireplace in the room that just added to the comfort as it was early spring and still chilly. The lobby and wood work through out the building was rich and dark. There was a fabulous Pub in the lower level with outstanding prime rib great menu, cocktails and local brewery beers. there even was live music tastefully played. The town has a lot to offer and Lake Michigan beach is down the street. There was breakfast available at the pub in the morning and it was made to order. it was quite and peaceful. I imagine it would be very different in the summer as this is also a beach community. The cost was for off season and was at mid level but well worth the comfort. I will be back again.…
