The staff at Little River are the best you will see anywhere. From the cleaning people, the front desk, waitresses, dealers, to everyone who works there, they are all very friendly and truly care about you. The rooms are always clean and the service is excellent. If you like to get away and/or gamble, go to The Little River Casino Resort in Manistee Michigan.

This is a nice casino and resort in beautiful Manistee Michigan. We came and stayed for a memorial service that was close by. We ate a couple different times in the casino and unfortunately the food was not that good. I guess I would have to say my favorite was the breakfast buffet in the morning, the wait staff was very accommodating but the rest of the food we got was not very good the other times. Also, the room we stayed in was in need of some upgrading and unfortunately I got sick with a migraine because of the smoke smell in the room, the problem is our room was non-smoking.

Some room features have been discontinued and the buffet is overpriced, especially breakfast. The River Rock is a good place to eat but the menu could have more selection. The slot machines could be a bit less tight.

We booked a room using the "Playful Getaway" package which is advertised as including $50 in free play, a $50 dining credit, and a $50 gas card. After checking in, we discovered that there was no restaurant open at the casino, only a food court and a coffee shop and that the advertised gas card is actually a $50 Little River Casino Gift Card which can only be used in the shops in the casino or the mini-mart and gas station they own across the street.

Without a restaurant open, there was no way to spend $50 having dinner at the casino and we had no idea that we needed to arrive with enough room in our car's gas tank to buy $50 worth of gas on the spot. Both of these "promotions" are of very limited value.

Almost everyone would understand a "gas card" to mean a card that can be used at gas stations in multiple locations, not a casino branded gift card that has to be used on the premises. Unfortunately, we had filled up before we arrived and live hours from this location.

I love this casino and we frequent often camping. However, this year the camping costs were out of this world. Way too high. We paid $70 a night just to have an ECONOMY back in site. We have been coming for years, but will not pay that price again. We did stay in the parking lot a couple times this year and played and ate in the casino and noticed where the campground used to be almost completely full on weekends, there were tons of spots open. You need to rethink your high prices for camping or people will stop coming.

The rooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable beds. The entire resort was very clean, never smelled smoke even though people can smoke in certain areas. The staff was very helpful. Security was nice to help us get to the sports bar so we didn't have to go outside (2 minors with me- sports bar is through the casino).

We stayed overnight as we appreciate the availability of smoking rooms and ability to smoke in designated areas in the casino and the casino is about 3 hours away from our home so it made sense to stay. Plenty of sanitizing wipes are available to wipe off machines you want to use. Regarding the rooms - it would be helpful to have a hotel diagram and a television station guide as well as a small notepad to write thank you's to your cleaning staff. The rooms are not fancy but they are adequate. Bring a cooler as there are no refrigerators provided. You may also want to pack a couple keurig coffee pods - there were 2 coffee and 2 tea pods and 2 paper coffee cups in our room which had 2 queen beds. If you need more - front desk is helpful. It is a bit of a walk from some of the rooms to the casino. While we didn't go swimming, we did take a look at the indoor and outdoor pools. The pools weren't busy and looked very well maintained. We ate dinner at the Sportsbar. The food and service there was excellent and tables are very far apart to comply with social distancing. We had a good & relaxing visit on our first outing since the Covid virus. We brought our own hand sanitizer and wipes for use in the room.

I was at the casino in June for the rug hooking school, to which the rug school paid for my room Sunday - Thursday. I opted to stay an additional night at my expense. When I checked out Saturday morning, I gave my card to the front desk and got a bill back for the entire week. When the clerk tried to credit me back it would not allow her to do so. She assured me that she would make sure it was corrected. That seemed reasonable, she then proceeded to charge me for the one night and I went on my way. When I check my account a week later, I had still not been refunded. I contacted the conference leader and she went personally to the resort, gave them her cc and was charged $805.09 for 6 nights. I was told it would take about a week to correct. Waited and waited and waited, no credit has been made, I have called 6 times explained the situation and assured that someone would call me right back. To date no one has returned my calls, not Autumn, not her supervisors. No one. The casino has not only over charged me, but they overcharged the converence leader as well. I am now disputing all the charges with my cc.

My mother and I went a few times in June and I must say EVERYTIME we went we had a marvelous time. First all the staff I came in contact with were always top class customer service, from the wait staff, VIP staff, housekeeping, security all treated me with a smile and took care of my needs. Secondly this is one of the cleanest casinos I have ever been to. Third is the security, I have my elderly mother with me and I get distracted easily but I always feel safe that security is looking out for us. I can honestly say this is one of my top casino resorts to visit. The amenities are amazing and the staff makes it even better! A++++

Little River is Casino/Hotel is 15 minutes away from beautiful Lake Michigan about an hour south of wonderful Traverse City and of all the casino/hotels we have visited over time, Little River is the best. The hotel has lovely, clean hotel rooms and outstanding decor with stone walkways and waterfalls. Hotel reservation associates go above and beyond to be helpful and the casino rewards programs are generous. That winning combination keeps us going back again and again and whenever we have recommended Little River to friends we always get thank yous and positive reviews of their visits.
