We booked our reservations in advance and were disappointed after arrival to find that the advertised amenities were in "shared facilities". The breakfast bar, indoor waterpark, and indoor/outdoor pools are available in other hotels that Econo Lodge has use agreements with. The room was clean, but showed a lack of maintenance - burned out light bulbs, holes in curtain, sink... More

While I would likely stay at the Mackinaw City Econo Lodge again, it would only be because of the price. This motel is generally comfortable, but it is dated - needs remodeling and minor repairs. The staff were friendly; didn't have time for the provided breakfast. Overall not a negative stay, just not indulged.

rooms have been partially updated could use improvement and updating in bathrooms. air conditioner in room 125 could use maintenance or replacement.more attention needed on cleaning bath room floors. management was congenial and able to work on problems as needed.Remember this is an economy lodging.I find it more than adequate foe a nites rest at the price.

We stayed here over the 4th of July and it was crazy busy. Our room met out expectations for what we paid. No frills, just two queen beds, mini fridge and a bathroom. Room looked as though it had not been vacuumed and there were no fitted sheets on the bed. Location was great, giving great access to the water... More

The location of this hotel is perfect. Near everything, and right across the street from the ferry to Mackinaw Island. The cottages look good and roomy. The hotel rooms are small and not arranged well. The mini-fridge is under the sink, which makes it impossible to stand normally at the sink. The shower head is low, slightly under my chin.... More

Recently remodeled, but it didn't help much. Shoddy housekeeping-I had to get clean towels myself. The manager was not personable or helpful-the Wi-Fi NEVER did work, despite their claims it did. Overall condition of the property was shoddy-discarded building materials strewn about and such. Very run-down looking-rest of the staff was mediocre, at best. Giving it a "C-" at best... More

$125. per night --- Where is housekeeping? hot tub water not heated. no microwave in room, we will not return here. breakfast across street was good though monotonous. aside: mackinaw city is pretty with lots of interesting history, beautiful scenery.

The waterpark and breakfast was our draw to the hotel-the cabins look very nice. We had two side by side rooms and one definitely had more renovation than the other. By 9:30am the breakfast area-which is in a hotel that share the parking lot-was very messy and not being restocked (it's done at 10 but had been eaten through and... More
