If you don't have a trailer, this the next best thing to tent camping. Our cabin had all the essentials you need...bed, bathroom, refridge, and microwave. I can't get over how clean the cabin was. Cleaner than most hotel rooms. Even the window sills were spotless. Kudos to the cleaning crew. Great porch to sit on & sip your coffee.... More

This park has something for everyone! First of all, it is VERY large although the sites are VERY close together (like handing your neighbor a cup of coffee close) We were very fortunate as we had an oversized lot (why I don't know as there are not many of those around.....although I did make reservations a couple of months in... Decided to rent an RV And go north WE had a 27ft class C, 3 adults and 2 dogs. Read the reviews on Mill Creek and decided to give it a try/ NOT disappointed. Large easy to maneuver (good for 1st time RV drivers) Lots of shade and our spot was right across from the lake. Bathrooms and showers are... More

Thank you for the nice words! We just spent bookoo bucks for the best available wifi system (the same they are using for the Olympics) so I am not happy to hear you had a problem using it. Especially since there was a unit broadcasting right where your site was and it hasn't been down once all summer. Sounds like... More

This campground is VERY large. The staff is friendly and the office offers discounted tickets to area things (the star line ferry, for example). The waterfront area is very pretty and well kept - it's like a very large waterfront park and is landscaped nicely- amazing views. The beach area is nice. The pool is nice but very small for... Thank you for staying with us! A lot of people read these reviews so it is important to us that we make sure to clear up anything that might not exactly be accurate. This year (in June) we were able to afford to seal coat nearly all of our big rig area roads. Seal coat will be just like pavement... More

Excellent place to stay. We paid the extra money for an "island view" site, and it was absolutely worth it. Our site was right on the water... we could walk across the road to the swimming beach. We used the shuttle service to get to the ferries to the island--quick and easy. The pool was a bit crowded for us,... More

Sites here are fairly close together. Unless you want to pay, wifi is non-existent. It seemed that everyone here loves their campfires, and it was hard to walk the campground in the evening without being overwhelmed by the smell of smoke.

Thanks for giving us a try! It is busy during the months of July. June and August get a bit less hectic. If you feel like you need more space, ask the office and they will always see if they can move you to a less crowded area. Some people like the activity, some want privacy. We can offer both.... We have stayed here several times and love it, but it is pretty congested and not the best choice if you're looking for privacy. I especially hate the positioning of the fire pits in the middle of many of the camp sites. The dimensions of the site are not accurate when a cement pit takes up half the width of... More

Overview: Large campground, 600 sites. Allows Tents, campers and has a lot of cabins. Clean facilities, very large well stocked camp store. Pizza, ice cream, game room, wood, ice, pool, lots of showers, multiple dump stations. Plan ahead if going June-August as these are peak months for Mackinaw City tourism. Easy access to bike trail will take you into downtown... More

Well let me start with the location, it is one heck of a view. Hard to beat with view of the bridge and Grand Hotel and Mackinac Island. The site was just as advertised very narrow 25 ft. wide But I had measured my camper and knew I would just fit. The cost for this site is not what I... More

Thanks for the good words and for giving us a try! I do respond to reviews, knowing many people read them and I want potential guests to be properly informed if there is inaccurate information in a review. So in that light, just to be accurate --We didn't come up with the rule about "no footware on the pool deck,"... More

We just completed our 2nd trip to the campgrounds and each time I enjoy it a little more. The facilities are very clean, the camp sites are well maintained and the pool is very nice. The staff is very helpful. The camp sites are generous and it is really nice to have the full hook-up option. Each site has both... More
