We visited this property on Mother's Day Weekend 2016. We stayed in Room 112. May I say view from rooms 112 and 212 are the best on this property!! You also get your own PRIVATE BALCONY/PORCH when reserving these rooms. You pay $50-$70 dollars more per night. ***Did I mention the view is PRICELESS? It is worth every penny to... More

We wanted some place in Mackinaw where we could see the sunsets and the sunrises, and we found it. This is located near the bridge and on the Main Street from down town so it is a quick trip back to restaurants and the boats. We will be back. We were able to have coffee at sunrise.

We selected this hotel because it was a non-chain establishment, small and a prime location to view the Mackinaw Bridge. I guess we should have expected something wasn't quite right when we booked the reservation and they couldn't send us a confirmation e-mail because "we don't use computers ". The room rate was par with other larger hotels in the... More

This motel has a very good view of Mackinac bridge and the lake, no wonder is called "the bridge shadow". We stayed three night there, clean rooms, good price and the room was clean and bed were made when we came back at night. It's located block from Mackinac downtown and the fort. I was happy with my stay there... More

Upon our arrival we were optimistic because this hotel looked to have a great view of the bridge, although a number of other hotels do as well. As other reviews have pointed out, the owner was not only rude but actually inattentive and showed lack of attention or care. When we asked him questions he would just stare at us.... More

First of all, the room was spotless and I sort of liked the older, retro feel. The owner at check in was not very friendly, all business. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. I tossed and turned all night. For the price, I do not think it was worth it. Had it been cheaper it would have been ok.

I typically seek out older independents like these because they are usually clean, simple and offer good value. I also expect personalized service since the buildings are small and staff is usually a married couple with some part time maids. This hotel is perfectly located by the bridge, however its very trendily priced, with almost no real amenities. Rooms are... More

I loved this motel. The rooms were very clean and the staff was always willing to help. The view was amazing and the pool was good but a little dirty. There is a little beach great for playing and pictures. Great location it was near shops and restaurants so that was nice. I recommend this to anyone who is visiting... More

This is the perfect place to stay, right on the lake. Some rooms have a front and back door. You can sit on the balcony looking at the city or in back looking at the lake. Outdoor pool is heated and overlooking the lake. Owners are very nice, but have a strict no pet policy.

The motel was in a great location. Beautiful view of the bridge. It seems to be run by an older couple. No breakfast offered, just coffee and tea in the morning. The rooms were very basic and out dated. Very clean though. The mattresses were very hard and I've read numerous other complaints about the mattresses from other people. The... More
