....The view of the Bridge and Straits, the clean rooms, the location right beside the lighthouse, walking distance from the fort, the shoreline, and again, the view of the Bridge, most of all the friendly staff and awesome hosts. Spend a night and you'll be back. 😊

Very much an older style motel however, it was well kept and clean. Nice view and location on the water. Small park next door with water front walk path. The ladies were friendly but the older gentleman seemed rather annoyed. Would like to have rated higher but hospitality in the service industry to me should be a given, it lacked... More

My wife and I spent the Fourth of July weekend in Mac City. We had been to the Riviera before; it's far enough (maybe 3/4 of a mile--walking distance) out of the center that one can avoid the hubbub of downtown and still enjoy the city. The rooms are old school--don't expect a Hampton Inn or anything, but they are... More

The Riviera Motel, is a great spot to stay in Mackinaw City. Clean and cozy, close to everything in Mackinaw City, awesome view of the bridge and easy access to the highway. I will certainly return for another stay!

We visited this property on Mother's Day Weekend 2016. We stayed in Room 112. May I say view from rooms 112 and 212 are the best on this property!! You also get your own PRIVATE BALCONY/PORCH when reserving these rooms. You pay $50-$70 dollars more per night. ***Did I mention the view is PRICELESS? It is worth every penny to... More

We wanted some place in Mackinaw where we could see the sunsets and the sunrises, and we found it. This is located near the bridge and on the Main Street from down town so it is a quick trip back to restaurants and the boats. We will be back. We were able to have coffee at sunrise.

We selected this hotel because it was a non-chain establishment, small and a prime location to view the Mackinaw Bridge. I guess we should have expected something wasn't quite right when we booked the reservation and they couldn't send us a confirmation e-mail because "we don't use computers ". The room rate was par with other larger hotels in the... More

This motel has a very good view of Mackinac bridge and the lake, no wonder is called "the bridge shadow". We stayed three night there, clean rooms, good price and the room was clean and bed were made when we came back at night. It's located block from Mackinac downtown and the fort. I was happy with my stay there... More

Upon our arrival we were optimistic because this hotel looked to have a great view of the bridge, although a number of other hotels do as well. As other reviews have pointed out, the owner was not only rude but actually inattentive and showed lack of attention or care. When we asked him questions he would just stare at us.... More

First of all, the room was spotless and I sort of liked the older, retro feel. The owner at check in was not very friendly, all business. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. I tossed and turned all night. For the price, I do not think it was worth it. Had it been cheaper it would have been ok.
