We have stayed at the Inn for several years now and feel like it is our second home. You don’t have that inability to be comfortable the first night that happens so many places on the road. It is a converted Victorian home with a beautiful parlor and wonderful garden courtyard. You receive a small menu each day for the next where you can order your choice of several breakfast items. You can choose as many as you like and they are quite yummy. They do not, however, serve a cooked breakfast, but you will not go hungry. You can choose to eat in your room, the parlor or the courtyard. In the parlor, there is an ice maker, small fridge, several flavors of teas, coffee and hot chocolate. Every afternoon there are complimentary cookies and fudge to snack on after all your island adventures. There are also books and games to keep you occupied when you don’t feel like going out. If it happens to be rainy, there are umbrellas to use and places associated with the inn that are free to guests. It is close to Marquette Park and the fort and you can hear reveille, retreat and taps each day. The innkeepers, Brian and Liz are wonderful! They are attentive to your every need and very nice people. Maggie and Paula are a great asset. Give the inn a try and you won’t want to stay anywhere else.

Outstanding service, a high quality B&B! You pick your choice of breakfast along with where and when you want it. Weather wasn't the best so we ate indoors, which was lovely. Liz and Brian are super hosts and their assistant, Maggie, is a gem as well. We would stay here again for sure. From our room (#6) we could see the Fort and Marquette Park.

We celebrated our 50th anniversary at the Market St. Inn. The family suite was nice & roomy! We had a lovely time visiting the island! After hours of exploring, we were happy to return to the calm atmosphere of the inn & the suite! Brian & Liz were attentive, kind & caring to all guests - and their staff! Their attention to detail came through in all they did. Their hospitality was wonderful; breakfast was delicious! Our room & all common areas were clean & welcoming. Thank you Brian & Liz for helping make our anniversary so special & for helping us make new memories!

Great location 1 block from Star Line Ferry and the Main Street through town. Wonderful innkeepers Brian and Liz. Clean. Quiet. Comfortable guest rooms. Self-serve cookies and coffee/tea available for guests but no bottles of water. Cozy parlor with games and books. Beautiful courtyard in the back and soft seating on the porch. They also provide a light continental breakfast (coffee, juice, fruit cup, boiled egg and bagel) in the morning. Perfect location to walk to everything. We also had a Gough Carriage stop out front to pick us up for a 90 minute private carriage ride.

Market Street Inn is a charming place to stay on the island. The room was small but nicely furnished, and the parlor and porch were great places to relax. The setup with coffee and tea in a corner of the parlor was a real winner, and it was nice to always have this available if needed. The innkeeper Brian is friendly and thoughtful. My only concern was the breakfast. It was very small, it wasn't obvious when we checked in if we could ask for more than one item per category (checklist of pastry, fruit cup or parfait, etc), and after we got it, it wasn't obvious how or whom we could ask for more food. We ended up hungry after only a couple of hours. It may be helpful to tell guests at check-in if they can check off more than one of any item for breakfast, and if it's allowable to ask for more food during that meal. Otherwise a great stay. Thanks for your hospitality.

Our room and the downstairs common areas were clean and very cozy. Everyone we met there was so kind, welcoming, and gracious. Our breakfast choices were served elegantly. We chose to have ours outside in the private courtyard garden, which was just lovely. We would have spent more time in the courtyard if we'd been on the Island longer. Even though Market Street Inn is right in the heart of a very busy area, the courtyard garden felt secluded and serene - a beautiful little retreat from the excitement of downtown.

We visited Mackinac Island for the first time and stayed for three nights at the Market Street Inn. We felt so welcome and all of our needs were met. Brian and Liz went out of their way to make sure we had a delicious breakfast every day while avoiding my many food allergies. The room was perfect, clean and quiet. The home is beautiful and is in a wonderful location. We loved eating breakfast in the back courtyard, which is just so picturesque. It is quiet and secluded from the business of the street. We loved everything about our stay. We highly recommend the Market Street Inn.

We were able to stay for a few nights, and stayed in the Family Suite. It was perfect for the 4 of us. The room itself was perfectly temperature controlled, the dehumidifier kept the downstairs room from feeling too damp. The beds were comfortable and the breakfasts were some of the best I've ever had. Brian and Liz were so nice and made sure everyone was comfortable. The courtyard was a perfect place to sit and eat or read a book for some down time. The location was great, right next to the supermarket so we could grab some food to make lunch for the kids to make the trip a bit more cost effective. We could walk everywhere, but were off the main street, so it felt less crowded. We all want to come back again very soon!

My Husband and I stayed at the Market Street Inn for the first time and loved it. Not only is it a great location to pretty much everything, the service and attention to detail was amazing as well. I had forgotten that I mentioned we were coming to celebrate our first Anniversary at the time of the reservation. So we were surprised when we arrived and found a beautiful printed sign with lilacs on it wishing us a Happy Anniversary, wine glasses tied with purple tulle and a note saying there was a small bottle of wine in the parlor fridge for us. The room was lovely and the garden courtyard where we are breakfast was so beautiful and peaceful. We even got our breakfast served to us! If your looking for a place with superb customer service and attention to detail this is the place for you! A+++

We will DEFINITELY return! Brian & Liz are great hosts and the room was very cozy! I HIGHLY recommend this BnB. The location is perfect - only one block off the main street. Afternoon cookies, 24 hour beverage center and a freshly prepared breakfast are add'l bonuses!
