Great place to stay while visiting the Island..the staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and the buffet breakfast is alway good. Wonderful staff and beautiful rooms. Our room recently had the bathroom updated and it was very nice. The front porch is the perfect spot for coffee in the morning and visiting in the afternoon and evening while watching the town. Not far from downtown but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Special touches like the cheese and lemonade...

The Inn on Mackinac is a large old victorian home. It's quaintly decorated, clean & very close to town. A buffet breakfast with the essentials -- eggs, bacon, potatoes, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast, etc. -- comes with your room & was nice. Cookies are left in your room each night!

The Inn on Mackinac is absolutely beautiful! It's far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but close enough to be there in minutes. In my opinion, you couldn't ask for a better location. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! The second floor porch was perfect to people watch or read a favorite...

The Inn on Mackinac is a great hotel with a pleasant staff--one of the best on Mackinac Island! The woman at front desk gave us our own cheese and crackers because we arrived a bit after the afternoon cheese and cracker tray is offered (after 4 p.m.) They go above and beyond for their guests at Inn on Mackinac. We...

We have visited the island several times before and this was the first time at the Inn on Mackinac. We were pleasantly surprised as we approached the beautiful entrance! The flowers are magnificent! We were welcomed by friendly staff who kindly answered any questions we had. This hotel's decor is very Victorian and tastefully done. Location turned out being a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The year was 1867, an era of horse-drawn carriages and ladies in bustles. Blacksmiths were crafting horse shoes in glowing forges. During this height of Victorian culture, the Inn on Mackinac was built. Known then as Chateau Beaumont in memory of the famous Army surgeon at Fort Mackinac, the Inn on Mackinac has retained its quaint, old fashioned charm. The Inn’s facilities have been updated to meet the needs of the modern traveler while preserving its colorful history. Today, completely remodeled and redecorated, this beautiful Victorian Inn opens its doors, where the very special charm of our family-run Inn awaits you. ... more   less
