Although you will have a great view off your balcony, the fireworks are displayed south of the island and these balconies face east. The hotel is a short walk down the road from a prime viewing area, the boardwalk.

Jerry is right. Bicycle Street Inn is right across the street from Shepler's ferry. No transport needed but the hotel does handle your bags and stores them if you arrive before check-in time.
