While I have been on the island many times, this was my first stay at the Cottage Inn. By island standards, this is a new property (built 2001) but is Victorian style. I stayed in the Mackinac Suite which is on the 3rd floor and is a 3 room suite. Just one bathroom though. The sitting room in the turret... More

This was our first time staying overnight on the Island and our experience at the Cottage Inn was excellent! Breakfast each day was filling and delicious, with plenty for everyone. Innkeepers John and Jean were welcoming and helpful with ideas for things to do that we would not have known about (stairway up to the buffs, hiking trails, and which... More

Cottage Inn is a lovely B&B located one block from the Main Street-Market Street. Within brief walking distance of many attractions like Fort Mackinaw, hiking trails, bicycle rental, shops, restaurants, and a quaint little grocery. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with very comfy beds, wifi, cable, and private baths. Our room, the Bridge Room, was located on the third... More

I stayed with friends at the inn for two nights for a race event on the island. The location was PERFECT...around the corner from the main street therefore convenient for anything we needed but a block removed from the hustle and bustle and noise of this tourist town. Breakfasts were ample and included fresh fruit and yogurt as well as... More

This B&B is A FANTASATIC place to stay. We just spent 3 nights at this extraordinary Inn. We stayed in the room somewhere in time and the room is small but other then that everything was nicely done. John and Jean were just great on what to see and do they are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was WOW... More

We stayed at a wonderful bed and breakfast (Cottage Inn) one street back from Main St. on Mackinac Island. We were able to sit on the front porch and watch horses and people go by. What wonderful scenery and a great experience. We enjoyed our room and the wonderful breakfast each morning. Our hosts, John and Jean, were so helpful... More

The ultimate experience at a B&B. The house was spotless and welcoming. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. John sat with us and mapped out ideal paths to see the sights including lesser known viewpoints. The breakfast was delicious with a cheesy egg dish, fruit and pastries. We were able to leave our luggage in the lobby after check-out... More

We stayed in the second-floor turret room for 2 nights in mid-September. It was spacious! The room rate was about $360 a night which I thought was high but maybe that's the going rate on the island. The room and main living areas are well decorated and comfortable, and very clean. The property is in a great location on Market... More

Our first visit to Mackinac Island and won't be our last! The clomp sound of the horses up and down Market Street, the fabulous sunsets, the history and great food make it the perfect vacation paradise. The Cottage was a magnificent place to stay. We spent the first night in Room 21 and the second night night in room 22.... More

The Lilac room will be our room of choice at the Cottage Inn for our next visit. From the high end bedding, well prepared and presented breakfast to the prime location on Market Street. Well done, Innkeepers!
