The Cottage Inn of Mackinac Island is a beautiful inn built with Victorian style and charm. The Cottage Inn was built in 2001 and we are proud to be one of the most modern B&B on Mackinac Island. We are located on quiet Market Street and are just one block from the downtown area. Ferry docks, Mackinac Island State Park, Historic Fort Mackinac, and the Mackinac Island Marina are just a short stroll away. We feature a large front porch for enjoying breakfast or just relaxing while taking in the clip-clop of the horse-drawn buggies passing by.

We chose the Cottage Inn for our anniversary trip. The convenience of the Inn is great. It's close to everything but just off the main street to be in a quiet part of the island. Melissa and Kenisha were friendly and helpful Sitting on the porch for breakfast was great, and they have mid-afternoon snacks, There's absolutely nothing bad we can say about the Cottage Inn. If we're ever back on the island, we will definitely stay here!

The staff was very welcoming and we came over on an early ferry and they let us store out bags! Wonderful front porch to sit on and enjoy the flowers. This bed and breakfast was one block off Main Street but was close to all activity! Recommendations for places to eat were right on! Rooms were very spacious. They provided snacks upon arrival. Breakfast was very good. Would stay again!

Stayed for 3 nights in June to celebrate our 35th anniversary. This was our first time on the island and the Cottage Inn did not disappoint. It is located in a perfect area, one block off the main street. Melissa is a wonderful innkeeper. She gave us tips on where to eat and where to rent bikes from. We stayed in the Garden Balcony room. We loved having the roomy balcony to share a bottle of wine at night and people watch the street below. Beautiful views of the fort from the room. In fact Melissa and Kanesha (housekeeping) left for us a bottle of wine, fudge and a little note since we were celebrating our 35th anniversary when we checked in. We were blown away, was not expected at all. Melissa's breakfasts were great (home baked goods!) and the afternoon treats were much appreciated. The Inn is kept very clean and from what I was told the downstairs was remodeled recently , it looks great. The gardens outside were beautiful and well taken care of. In my opinion the prettiest B&B on the street. We will definitely return to the Cottage Inn.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cottage Inn. Melissa and Kenisha were very friendly and fun. Melissa made us delicious breakfast every morning. Room was perfect. Both were helpful in giving advice and arranging a carriage ride.

We had a great stay. Room comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was delicious! Teakettle and coffee were always out and we appreciated that so much being chilly on opening weekend. Location super convenient. Already recommended Cottage Inn to family who are thinking of a trip to Mackinac.

Two years post work from home and needing some peace and quiet, my wife and I made tracks for “Our Island”, Mackinac Island. Making reservations in January 2022 with our favorite home away from home The Cottage Inn, we couldn’t wait for April. I reached out to the Inn and spoke with Melissa (the new innkeeper) who couldn’t have been more pleasant and excited to see us. She informed us that they were doing some upgrading and that they too were experiencing supply chain issues but that the facility would be ready for our visit. For those that have stayed here in the past prepare yourself for some subtle changes and beautiful updates. Melissa and her crew (hi mom and dad) welcomed us with smiles and open arms. While the transformation has yet to be fully completed this wonderful oasis never missed a beat. We are already planning a return visit for later in the year to see the finished product.

We stayed in the Lilac Parlor and loved our stay! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the place is very clean and inviting, and they make you a wonderful breakfast each morning. This was our first time staying overnight on the island and we were very pleased. Highly recommend anyone staying on the island to look into the Cottage Inn! We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip over!

We so enjoyed our stay hear! Our room was small, but very clean and pleasant. We liked it because we are of a certain age and it’s on the first floor and didn’t have to climb stairs with our baggage. The food was amazing, every day was a different meal, and I actually asked for a few of their recipes. It’s also easy access from the ferry, And great location to walk to get a carriage ride, or go to the market, close to that Fort, restaurants and of course, the Grand Hotel . We would definitely stay here again, the price was reasonable, I love sitting out on the porch just visiting with other guest, and watching the marvelous horses clip clop along, ( you can rent horses and carriages jut for two if you feel so inclined).

My husband and I enjoyed our four night stay at the Cottage Inn. All the staff are lovely and very helpful. The location of the Inn is perfect for making the most of your time. There was an awesome free concert in the park right around the corner from us. We were right next to where you start the carriage tours of the island. Lots of restaurants nearby. The fort is a must see and nearby. Plan to eat at the tea room at the fort. We can highly recommend staying at this inn. All of our breakfasts were excellent.
