We celebrated our 35th anniversary in the Garden Balcony Room at Cottage Inn. Not only did we have a great time on the island, but Cottage Inn Bed and Breakfast was definitely a highlight of our trip. When we weren't out and about, we were celebrating and relaxing on the balcony with a glass of wine. Cottage Inn is so well kept and managed. Sometimes it's the innkeepers that make all the difference. Hats off to Dave, Rose, and Katherine Witt! If they are still managing it, I would consider Cottage Inn as your first choice to stay overnight.

This was our first visit to Mackinac Island and staying at The Cottage Inn was certainly an added bonus of hospitality and location that really tied the whole trip and experience together. The location is perfect; a block in from all of the hoopla of ‘downtown’. The street is quiet and serene and enjoying breakfast and nightcaps on their lovely porch was a highlight of our time spent there. The Witt’s were the perfect hosts...very friendly, informative and helpful navigating the island. The place was immaculate and all precautions were taken during our Covid visit which was much appreciated! We will definitely stay at The Cottage Inn again!

We stayed in the bicycle rack room on the 2nd floor. The room & the entire house were spotless - very clean & well appointed. The innkeepers were super friendly & offered great suggestions about dining options when asked. The room we were in was a bit small & the bed is quite high so it might not be the best option for guests that do not get around very well. We spent some time on the front porch to enjoy a night cap and breakfast. It is a block off of Main Street so it is peaceful, but still enough action to keep you entertained.

We stayed in the Mackinac Suite with our 10 year old and 12 year old, and we enjoyed having such nice space to spread out and relax. It was quiet but still very close to everything downtown and the fort. The innkeepers were so welcoming, and breakfast delivery to the room was handled very well with the COVID situation. I also enjoyed sitting on the porch with a book. It was our first trip to the island, and we’d love to come back and stay here again!

Although our stay came during COVID 19 we felt comfortable and our rooms were a haven to return to. The BnB was clean and cozy with great people running it. We would highly recommend it to everyone wanting to be close to everything and yet private as well.
