Very comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit. There are 4 buildings with a pretty garden and gazebo in-between. They rent bikes, though we didn't need because we brought our own. The porters who brought our luggage from the dock were amazing, how high they stacked the bags onto the front of their bicycles!

No AC in the Cottage rooms! Something we’re not used to so the box fans and portable, water cooler fan made for a noisy night! Room was clean and well decorated though. They offered to refund our money but that didn’t help us since it was so late in the day and no vacancy anywhere else! If we stay here again, I’ll make sure we an AC!

We have stayed many times here. Beautiful gardens and a lovely continental breakfast as always. Our suite did not have functional air conditioning. It did have one screened door on a shared balcony but there were no other windows to improve the air flow or cool off a 2 roomed suite. The hotel was booked up so another room wasn’t an option the first night of our stay. The bathroom fan didn’t work and the bath tub was lacking a handrail so there was a hole in the shower surround. Perhaps we just got the “lemon” of the rooms because certainly I have had much better accommodations in the past.

From room amenities, to the included breakfast selections, to the staff’s kind, helpful ways, this inn was everything I hoped for during our stay at Mackinac Island. Every inch of this inn was spot clean and there was always coffee and fruit flavored water available in the lobby. This is definitely a top rate inn.

The Harbour View was an absolutely fantastic venue to stay on Mackinac Island!! Our room was in the main inn and it overlooked the entry area in the front. Beautiful deck that allowed for peaceful relaxation. And because it was off the main downtown area, nighttime was calm and quiet. I was surprised at the quietness of the room itself. With a packed house, I barely heard a peep throughout the night and the bed was very comfortable. Room was spacious and clean. Staff extremely helpful. Breakfast was good although a bit crowded. Understandable though during lilac festival. Well done Harbour View!! Would stay again in the future!!

Stayed in a 2 queen deluxe suite, was a very nice room, plenty of space for a single night stay. Breakfast in the morning was a nice extra. Staff were friendly/helpful and facility/room was clean. Being able to store luggage at the front desk on checkout day was helpful. Hotel is at the end of town so makes it a bit quieter of a stay which is nice but still a quick walk to all the action in downtown. The website claimed they had onsite dining but this was never open during our stay. Overall was a good property and would stay again on our next trip to Mackinac.

Our stay included 5 adults and 1 infant. We were able to have a pack n play crib provided, which helped a we didn't have to pack that. It can get a mini fridge; but request it ahead of time. The room was very clean and very quiet, with a shared balcony that overlooked a lovely courtyard. There were 2 weddings in that courtyard while we were there! The breakfast was quite good; included hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal with many toppings, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, bagels, muffins, a different savory item each morning (such as biscuits filled with cheese & sausage or mini quiche), coffee, tea, 3 different juices, and even Granola bars and uncrustables sandwiches to take away. The staff was friendly, and the bike rentals were cheaper than in town. The only negatives we noticed were that the chain lock on our door did not work, and the smoke detector was missing(!). There was a fire alarm right outside our door, so we didn't worry too much. (Room 3206). We would stay there again, but we may check for a hotel with a little cheaper rate. T(hat's not easy to find on the island!)…

My daughter and I stayed in the guest house. It was lovely room and there was an elevator which was great because I have difficulty climbing stairs. The room had air conditioning and was very clean. The room was straightened each day and clean towels put out. Our bags were able to be picked up from the dock, taken to our room and then removed from our room and transported back to the dock when we checked out. The walk was fairly easy to stores in town even using a cane. I did have to take the path through the garden rather than the hill by the inn because of my difficulty climbing. Had a wonderful stay and would stay there again.

On our anniversary trip to Mackinac Island we stayed at Harbour View Inn. Harbour View Inn is at the quiet end of Main St. and next door to St. Anne's Catholic Church. We stayed in room 3310 in the Guest House. That's the big structure at the back of the property. Room 3310 is a Deluxe Suite 2 Queen/Sofa. The price was just over $500 per night including taxes. The room was very spacious and had a nice water view from a shared balcony. We never had a problem with other guests on the balcony. The grounds are fabulous. Lush flowers are everywhere. They have inexpensive bikes for rent but we didn't ride. There was a Harbor View Inn porter who met us at the ferry dock upon arrival and beat us back to the inn with our bags. On our departure, he took our bags back to the ferry dock. Each morning a continental breakfast was offered in the main building. They have paper plates and plasticware if you want to take it back to your room. Bill's Grill is in front of the main building near the street with grilled food. We ate lunch there one day and it was good. In summary, the location was perfect. The view was incredible. The staff was great. But… The fit and finish sorely failed to make it up to my expectations of a $500 per night hotel. Sink bowl is cracked. Fastener is missing from the light fixture in the bathroom. Paint is peeling on the mirror frame. Caulk is peeling on backsplash. Cabinet doors don't close. Tub/shower is a fiberglass drop-in. Towel bars don't match. Sliding glass door has the lock mechanism removed. Simple hook closure. Sliding screen door on the balcony fell off. The room next door did the same. Supplied iron in the room had an odd plug that wouldn't plug into the wall. A/C is LOUD. Housekeeping didn't always remove dirty bath cloths. I spoke to Michelle at the front desk after our second night and asked for an adjustment. That afternoon maintenance came by and worked on the A/C and cabinet doors. The A/C was much better but the cabinet doors needed much more work. When I got my bill, a $235 credit had been applied lowering the average cost to $434 per night. That was still way too high for the quality of the facility. I wouldn't stay there again.…
