We stayed in room 406 with a balcony overlooking the harbor. It was fantastic! Room was wonderful- I couldn't recommend it more. We took Arnold's Ferry from the mainland, and our luggage was transferred seamlessly to our room upon arrival.

No they are not. The Chippewa Hotel is a boutique hotel located downtown and on the water. The Grand Hotel sits up on a hill overlooking the Straits of Mackinac. Check out their websites to get a feel for each.
