Recently went to Mackinac Island and chose the Chippewa Hotel again! My third stay here, as good as ever. How can you beat a stay right on the water? Room with a balcony view, was perfect for three of us. Two Queen beds and a sofa bed, two tv's, mini fridge, microwave and Keurig with the big open " livingroom"...

After staying at many hotels over the years on Mackinac Island, I decided to try the Chippewa Hotel. I had stayed at its sister hotel, Lilac Tree Suites & Spa, several times and loved that hotel. Chippewa Hotel is as good if not a little more updated that the Lilac Tree. The Chippewa has a famous bar and also a...

We have stayed on the island numerous times now, we go for our anniversary every year, and staying at the Chippewa has renewed our love for the island. The location is fantastic. The scenes are spectacular and the staff, including Bart, are just great. We will be looking forward to returning next year!

We stayed in a suite with balcony overlooking the bay. The room was quaint and nicely appointed; simple and sufficient. Nice seating area separate from the bedroom. The balcony was very nice on a mild summer day, watching the boats (commercial and private) come and go. Staff were friendly, but needed better training. Restaurant is also fun; simple food (nothing...

This cool hotel is located on one end of Main Street, a short walk of 2 blocks from the ferry landing. VERY well kept older hotel on the island, and fun to stay in. Our room had a floor which slanted downwards to one side of the room, which was comical and did not bother us. Very cute furnishings! Convenient...

Had never been to this island before (fyi, island is a tourist trap and must have lost its quaintness decades ago). But this was a great hotel. Perfect location to walk just about anywhere on the island. Rooms very clean and well appointed. Thought cost was high but in reality, it was priced well for location and how nice it...

We stayed at the Chippewa Hotel for the Zoo-de-Mac bike ride and it was great! We had a room big enough for 4 of us with a great view of the water. Also had a fun time in the bar with live music! The staff there both on the phone and in-person could not have been nicer.

Our travel agent booked our room and we were not disappointed! Closest hotel to Ferry Landing. Our room was located on the second floor overlooking the hot tub and water. The bedroom had two beds, dressers, bathroom located between bedroom and living room. Small kitchenette (sink, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker) was tucked into corner of living room. Flat screen TV...

The hotel location is great, downtown but at the end of the main street. The rooms are small but very comfortable, with air conditioning, cable TV, and a nice bath with supplies. I feel this is the best value on the Island, nice room reasonable price. We stay here almost every time we are on the Island.

Our stay at Chippewa hotel was great, the front desk attendant Bart was great and very friendly and helpful. We got a complimentary room upgrade which was awesome. Though we wished we could have stayed longer in order to enjoy the more spacious room :-) I would definitely stay here again if we ever visited the island again.
