I stayed at the Chippewa Hotel on 8/20 and everything at the hotel was great especially the staff!! The reason for my low rating is because of the Lillac Tree Spa. The Lillac Tree is the sister hotel of the Chippewa and the spa is advertised everywhere including the Chippewa elevator. Thinking this would be very nice to treat myself,... More

Thank you for your review of your experience at the Lilac Tree Spa last weekend. I am very sorry that you were treated disrespectfully and with poor customer service. This is certainly not our norm. All of our services were filled on the 20th but you should have been asked about the next day. I have had the same staff... More

We stayed here a few years ago and once again the Chippewa did not disappoint! Wonderful location and so relaxing for my family. My kids loved the hot tub pool and jumping off the pool deck into the Lake....perfect. We are already thinking about when we'll be back again. Stayed on the 3rd floor in one of the suites overlooking... More

The location on Mackinac Island is central to the fort and easy access to everything on the main street. The suites overlook the water and the restaurant with plenty of space in the room. I have stayed at this hotel many times and while I think the hotel itself if great, the level of professionalism and helpfulness with the staff... More

So glad we stayed at the Chippewa! It is located right next to the Arnold's Ferry dock, so very convenient for us as that's the ferry we chose. Room was very comfortable. We were on the third floor with a corner room on Main St. If you are a light sleeper the street noise may be a problem, but it... More

We knew we weren't going to spend much time in the room so we really weren't too picky and took one of the lower priced places on the island (not that any of them are that inexpensive). It is located just far enough down the main strip to not be too busy, our room opened up to a view of... More

I'd always wanted to visit Mackinac Island after seeing pictures of it as a very small child. We got our chance recently when personal issues put us in northern Michigan for the first time in our lives. We tried to get into the Grand Hotel, but being short notice in high season, we couldn't book there. There were rooms at... More

We had an excellent time at the Chippewa Hotel. We had a cute room with a view of the Fort and the Governors Quarter's. It has a great location on Main Street and wonderful staff. Would stay here again!!

My husband and I just spent a weekend here for our 10th anniversary. Having not been to the island before for an overnight stay we were open to anywhere. Little did I know that many of the resorts are extremely expensive and trying to plan a week or so before was not an option. Then this little hotel happen to... More

The rooms are B&B style decorated. We had a large corner suite with water view on floor 3. Decent size balcony to sit and enjoy the view. Bed was pretty comfy, pillows OK (but I'm super picky). Nice bathroom/shower with usual soap etc. plus some make-up cleaning wipes. The only complaint was that the A/C unit was in the living... More

I visited with my family of 4 and we stayed in the 2 room waterfront suite. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean. With the suite, you get 1 bedroom and a spacious living room including a small dining table and small kitchenette/wet bar. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the location; in the heart of town... More
